I love Coldplay

Featured Replies

ok

I love this band

and over the years, I've neglected Coldplay

and probably mocked them

maybe because I felt I needed to grow up, and 'grow out' of Coldplay

and I should start listening to 'grown-up' music

the truth is, is that they are

seriously

magical!

when I listen to X&Y, I feel so blissful

I can't help but grin and jump around

Right now, I'm not sure of other albums that have that impact on me.

I try to feel that with albums adored by hipster snobs and old music elitists, but I can't! I try really hard to, too.

and it's not just the music, it's stupid freaking Chris Martin who was my life when I was 12

loo;k at this stupid idiot come on he is beautiful

I loved watching interviews of Coldplay every day before I went to school. They were silly and immature and yet so sincere and down-to-earth, I really felt I could relate to them.

But most of all, I love this website. I can't believe you people would want to talk to me when I feel down and laugh at my stupid jokes and send me little gifts on my birthday, you are such a big part of my life and if I'd never liked this band I know I wouldn't be the same.

So, in conclusion, if you feel like you're past Coldplay or you made yourself not give them a chance because RaDiOheAD is BETTEr!!! ThEy ArE MaiNstreaM sELLOUTS

You know you love Coldplay. You know you do. Hahaha

You know that feeling you get when you sit down and listen through the ~*~*~ beautiful journey ~*~*~ that is one of their albums, and when you meet someone irl who knows every word from their songs too, and even if they've disappointed you in the past, you still get a rush of excitement every time you hear they've worked on something new.

and if you actually hate coldplay, well then... i dont know

i'm not sure why i made this, have a great wonderful day i love you all

i have that picture on a shirt and today i found it in a drawer and i suddenly remembered everything

not when i first started to like coldplay, no no... when the fandom started

i totally did everything you posted like watching interviews before school and omg i had to watch every single interview available on youtube and I did and i even put just the audio of interviews into my ipod and i would tell everybody how great my life was because of it and they´re were like "ok we dont care" and dear lord chris martin i cant even BEGIN because i probably have embarrased myself enough to show how much i liked him

i even bought the magazine of that picture and i didnt even like it that much back them but wquidydiquwidqw

i don´t care if coldplay isn´t "cool" or whatever, they changed my life for loving music, joining this forum and meeting really cool people and yeah

Everytime I remind myself of Coldplay (and ironically that I still go to this forum) I just start to fall inlove again and listen to my favorite tracks and remind myself how attractive Chris is and the good times in middle school and its such a nice feeling of nostalgia

now i like this dumb mexican pizza guy

I love Coldplay and I love Coldplaying! This place make me smile every days! I have meeting so much beautiful Coldplayers all around the world !

In my town nobody speak about Coldplay like here! You are awesome!

Yesterday, I was watching a random tv show and the presenters asked what the favourite tv series of the girl being interviewed was. She said that she used to love Grey's Anatomy, but no so much these days. She said it was like an old friend from her childhood: someone you grew apart from, someone you don't relate with so much anymore, but someone who is still special to you for everything s/he represented in the past and every role s/he played in your life then.

This is pretty much how I feel about Coldplay presently. Coldplay was the first band I have ever loved and it was because of them why I got into music in the first place. X&Y was the first album I ever loved as well. It still brings me the chills to listen to it. It was back in 2005/6, when I was growing up and, as cheesy as it may sound, it helped me through it and is part of the person I grew to be.

It was not only the songs themselves, but also the band's earnest attitude, their putting as much effort and love in everything they did, their making sure that they believed what they were doing and that they did everything they believed in. I think that, if you change the past tense for the present tense, this still holds.

Since then, a lot of things in my life changed, I had to prioritise assignments and duties, leaving aside a lot of things I loved and enjoyed. I can't change these years past and I wouldn't anyway, but the fact is that my relation to Coldplay wasn't the same anymore. However, in my case at least, the reason is to be found within myself first and foremost. I'd never say I don't like Coldplay as much as I used to because they became more popular and mainstream, that they are selling themselves for the sake of fame. I sincerely believe whatever Coldplay do comes from their hearts. If some of their newest songs happen to be more mainstream, that's a consequence, not a cause, I think.

Having said that, I underline the fact that I still enjoy a lot of things Coldplay are doing nowadays because I still think they are brilliant and talented band. In the same extent, I still hold them dear in my heart, in respect of everything they have represented to me.

Well, that was a nice read indeed! :D

Over the years, I've been in-and-out of listening to Coldplay. I actually first started to listening to them when 'X&Y' came out back in 2005. I was a huge Green Day fan around that time, too. My mind wasn't open enough to begin to listen to a band that had such meaning to their songs, which was why I stopped listening to them a few years later down the road. I hadn't listened to 'Viva la Vida' when that album was released, because I didn't gave them a "second chance". It was only until 'Mylo Xyloto' was released that I decided to start listening to them again... I missed out ever since I dropped them in 2006.

Now I regret not being a fan around the 'Viva la Vida' era and feel like a complete jerk and an idiot. After attending that Coldplay concert last Tuesday, I realized what I'd been missing out on... So, you're not alone on neglecting Coldplay before. I had, too, and I really do f*cking regret it.

i don´t care if coldplay isn´t "cool" or whatever, they changed my life for loving music

THIS

Before listening to Coldplay I wasn't interested in music at all ; now when I see how important music is in my life, thanks to them... They're so important to me like it's crazy. The other day I was talking with a friend about the day they will stop and I just realised, "man I'm gonna cry for an entire week if they ever split". I feel a bit obsessed really.

And they've also helped me to discover so many other bands, which is amazing. Who would have ever told me about The Strokes and Arcade Fire (my two other favs) if it weren't Coldplay ? (Certainly not my schoolmates...) Coldplay educated me :cheesy:
