August 6, 201213 yr I know this may be a very stupid reason to start a thread, but I need some advice. Basically, I'm not at all touched -I guess you could say- by any Coldplay song anymore. A while back, when I would listen to any song (Strawberry Swing, Yellow, Shiver) I would sort of have this overwhelming feeling, like I was on a cloud or something(. It sounds stupid, but it's true. And the night I downloaded Mylo Xyloto....every song on that album with the exception of PoC, gave me that feeling again. Made me happy I guess. I've lost all that now. I just don't feel anything when I listen. And it makes me kind of worried because what if I just don't like them anymore? I mean, I've never found a band or an artist that I've loved so much. I'm not depressed or anything, I'm just trying to find a way to get the magic back. I'm really sorry if this is stupid, and thanks in advance to anyone nice enough to post anything :)
August 6, 201213 yr It's not stupid. Try watching some live performances or interviews. Rediscover those songs that you reallly liked.
August 6, 201213 yr This won't make any sense but... Why do we fall? So we learn to pick ourselves back up. Perhaps you have outgrown them. Maybe you just lost the spark, and need a jump start. Maybe you need to go back to the start and start over with Coldplay, if you know what i mean.

August 6, 201213 yr Author I have, and I loved it. :) There's no doubt that I love them, but (sorry I'm just repeating the same thing over and over again) the songs! Thanks so much for helping :) What should I do to start over?

August 6, 201213 yr i know its already been suggested but i get goosebumps every time i rewatch one of their live shows especially the one from glastonbury. or maybe you should just go see them in person no better feeling than that :P
August 6, 201213 yr Absence makes the heart grow fonder; take a break from them for a while and come back. I "rediscovered" them while on the beach in Ocean City Maryland. It brought me back to Coldplay after being kind of "meh" about them for a few years. I now love them and haven't really stopped. I think it's very healthy to fall in and out of "love" with bands. I had a period last year where all I would listen to was Coldplay - they were all that was on my iPod for maybe 3 or 4 months. I did get out of that phase, but I still listen to them daily at least.

So I should stop listening to them for a while??? That's going to be hard, but I will try.
August 6, 201213 yr If you say they don't make you feel anything right now, why would you listen to them anyway? When I have music that doesn't evoke anything to me, I simply remove it from my playlist. It doesn't really mean much to me if I don't get excited listening to a piece. I'm sorry, I really don't mean to sound rude! :embarrassed:
August 6, 201213 yr We're human, it happens, I'm sure you will find your love for them once again. :)
