I'm not one to feel comfortable with asking for praise, even in a jokingly way. Brent, I love you because I don't have to pretend to be anyone when I'm talking to you, which I do to at least some extent when I'm talking to most people here. I can just be real with you and you always say something that captures my interest. It's a real gem to be someone who is smart and knows a thing or two about the world, and has a decent sense of humor. You have moments when you're silly and act dumb and make us laugh but other times you show how good of a thinker you are. And also you do care about people, even something as small as this thread, I can barely name any other people who would do it. I'd really like to have you as a close friend irl.
