Nie, Yes!!! That was the hardest part!! Think now of 2007 and 2004. And of the names of Forum threads in The Lounge. Then find words of opposite meaning. In fact, the title of the song itself is a near opposite to the thread title.

Threads are both inThe Lounge: Not Oldplay/Newplay threads, but good thought. What I mean is that the name of the song is kind of an opposite of the name of one of our threads and that one of the main words in the song name is in the title of another Lounge thread. You guys are going to kick me when you find out the answer. I'll give another clue later tomorrow if needed.

No I just havent been on all day....and I probably wont have much time to be on all week, so maybe someone else can help solve this!

I've looked at all the Lounge threads on the first two listed pages but i still can't make a connection...also pursued the other clued but to no avail yet ! :)

Another clue, with apologies for the confusion. The two threads don't have similar names. But some of the words in the name of one of them are opposites of the song. I hope this doesn't give it away. One of the threads that is related in subject only (this is not the opposite thread) is Secret Santa 2016. The other thread is kind of opposite in subject. Think of how Secret Santa is about bringing joy.

You are on the right track with Christmas Lights. But it's another song of the season that CP also recorded written by someone named ____Martin that placed in those chart positions in the years mentioned. Read this clue VERY carefully.
