Does a microscope have anything to do with it?

Hmmm... Since it isn't lyrics related...

Bigger Stronger?

Errm, no microscope in my room....and not Bigger Stronger.

OK, now here comes a really big hint to get this riddle closer to ending:

Has none of you ever watched a Coldplay Live DVD in the dark ?

No and it is daylight right now so I can't check. [emoji1]

Hm, delete 8 words from your sentence....!

(I'm saying this now because I want this riddle to end...I was hoping it was easier but seems like it was confusing)

Daylight?

so it's Daylight from Live 2003? :P

did you put a paper or sheet over your screen or camera? that's kinda what it looks like to me

It is Daylight from Live 2003 indeed !

I didn't let Daylight count when it was first proposed because the reasoning were the lyrics, but this riddle had nothing to do with the lyrics.

Much easier. I just played Live 2003 on my laptop screen at maximum brightness in a completely dark room. My laptop was on my desk, behind which is my chair, behind which is a wall. I just filmed the reflection of the song (lights) on the wall. I can really recommend watching concerts like that, by the way - with the strobing lights it feels like an immersive experience and you feel more "in" the concert.

I was hoping the song would be guessed through its distinctive drum pattern, which explodes four times during the riff, which is reflected in the light pattern, but probably it was much more difficult than I thought. In retrospect I think I should have gone for Politik, although I think Daylight was a fair choice (imagine a song like Trouble, very hard to recognize that way; i also checked other songs but the yellow glow from Yellow was too faint, as was the glow during the In My Place chorus)

Now I have to admit I don't really know who "won" this...

ahh, that's cool  explains why there's so much dark space too

i like the concept behind this riddle, but i think it is difficult to feel out the rhythm through the light (also i don't know if i've ever paid close enough attention to the drum line in Daylight :uhoh:)

I was only making a joke and not really a guess so @coldplayisawesome should get the credits.

@wilkesy was also the first person to suggest Daylight i think, so maybe they should get the chance first. i can try to come up with something otherwise

(also now i'm listening to Daylight. i love this song so much :P)

whoops, did i promise to post a new riddle and forget again? :P

here's your hint:

it's something you want no part of unless you're a bird.

I actually didn't have much time to look into this yet.

Hmm, older song, so my thought of Moving to Mars won't count?

(A tiny little seed is sown --> birds like seeds).

it's scary to think one day we might be able to consider Moving to Mars an older song :|

but anyway, the answer is older than that. the "something" you're looking for is the actual title of the song (though it is definitely mentioned in the lyrics as well)

it's something you want no part of unless you're a bird

I think I'm not interpreting this as it should.

no part of --> not a piece of it?

Swallowed in the sea?

a swallow = a bird and I don't want to be swallowed in the sea. Swallow is also a part of the title

I think I'm not interpreting this as it should.

no part of --> not a piece of it?

"no part of" meaning "don't want anything to do with," if that makes sense

Swallowed in the Sea is not the song i'm looking for, although your explanation is along the right lines...
