What is the best way to make music as a career being someone who is in a band who have a few tracks but have yet to play any gigs?

 

Preferably via a route that doesn't involve selling my soul.

very nice question, as a person who is incredibly talented in the audacity buisness i would suggest you do these things

 

• sit in your room and have good ideas but dont do any of them
  
• if you think your song sounds awful dont do anything about no one will notice
  
• long and boring means good and deep
  
• oh how to get into the muzik bizz? just sit in your room and like usher will come to your house and give you an indie record deal probably i mean thats who im waiting for but probably someone better like beyonce
