I order stamps from time to time - and this time I received some beautiful stamps from HongKong twice even though I had only ordered 1 set of these. So the extra set is going to be sent to PHIL, the PHILatelist together with some Danish ones. :)

I sent some Lithuanian's and The Soviet Union's stamps yesterday :wacky:. I hope it will come soon.

I am back in Costa Rica, so I will be sending him some from here. I am not sure if we do the whole old stamps thing, but I will try to find some pretty ones for him :)

I must do this tomorrow! So late!! Fortunately I live in England..

I just put them in an envelope and will be dropping them by the post office on Saturday. There are even some in there from his birth year :)

^ nice. He will be very delighted with all the stamps we send him - many carefully chosen/selected to please him.

Hmm...whenever I send letters overseas they don't put a stamp...they just put a sticker with the amount it costs to send. Do you guys think sending a stamp inside would be just fine too? I would think that it'd probably be better since it hasn't been used.

 

When I went to post office I specifically asked them for stamps on outside, no problem at all. I also put some different (the Johnny Cash ones)inside the letter :)

I just sent an envelope to him - I asked the lady in the post office to put on some special stamps as the recipient is stamp collector - and she put a special stamp on commemorating Danish H.C.Andersen's fairy tale the Nigtingale (I had already put one such stamp into the envelope together with some other beatiful stamps i.a. a Danish viking and a few beautiful stamps with the Danish royal family).

 

And I noticed that I had 2 sets of stamps with Grace Kelly / Grace of Monaco - he got the other set.

Yeah, I realized when I went recently that they have international stamps so I ask the mail lady to use one of those and she did in addition to the ones I had sent inside. :)

I just saw that here in Germany you can design your own stamps - but it's very expensive. You have to order 20 stamps and that costs about 50€ :( - normally 20 stamps to Britain cost 15 €. Otherwise I would have done some special stamps ;) but that's a bit too much.

What do they mean by ps closing date? Like after November 9th anything sent there will be trashed?... I am trying to go tomorrow or Thursday, but I do not think they would ever get there on time </3
