Rate the vocals (AHFOD edition)

Featured Replies

so.. idk if this has been done yet but as an aspiring singer (ha-ha I try) I find that Chris Martin vocal technique and style changes alot per era and is hard to match and cover.

so without further adeu, lets rate this eras vocals per song. from 1-10 . ( of course kaleidescope and spectrum wouldn't count) 1 being the best and 10 being the lowest. Hope you guys have fun!

mine

1. army of one

2. birds

3. amazing day

4. everglow

5. Hymn

6.Fun

7.Adventure

8. AOAl

9. A head full of dreams

10. Up & Up

yeah k know I think up and up is too repetitive to be hard to sing and is pretty much mostly in low notes.

army one has many falsettos and voice cracks and the song has high energetic vocals imo.

I like Everglow but the way Chris pronounces certain words is weird especially during the first verse (for example the word people becomes "pfeefol" lol)

In Everglow I only like the "When I'm cold, cold in water rollled saaaalt" part. The rest sounds to me like he sings while his throat and full of mucus (no offence, I just wanted to describe what I believe it sounds like !)

Yeah, there are parts in the song (Everglow) wherein you can't really understand what Chris is saying. It's like he has a cold when recording the song. It's kinda funny because Everglow contains these lyrics: "when I'm cold, cold..."

That's why I swapped the studio version with the live one.
