Why do I have this feeling that Cleitus is something important that i've never learned...

I'd like to see someone breakdance to "clocks". I don't think it's possible.

You can break dance to almost anything. For example, I have a lot of fun break dancing to Cleitus's banjo!

I'd like to see you try.

Still have no idea what Cleitus is...

Don't think about it too much. Cleitus isn't important.

You're ruining my fun. I was hoping you'd explain it.

:(

You know, if I spent as much energy in my life and at work as I do on the internet, my life would be 100% better. :P

Okay, anyways, I'm off.

Peace off, sistah soulja.

Rockers Coldplay have been accused of approaching their music careers like "f***ing middle-class businessmen" who are only motivated by money.

The Yellow hitmakers have fallen victim to the scathing tongue of cult The Fall singer Mark E. Smith who recounts the time an American taxi driver overheard the band discussing business in the back of his cab - leading him to believe they were stockbrokers.

And charismatic Smith insists if singer Chris Martin and his bandmates were his children, he'd dress them in suits and send them off to get a "proper job", instead of releasing music to earn their millions.

He tells Britain's Jack magazine, "I got this taxi in America, and I always say I'm a building engineer if anybody asks, though I told this particular driver I was a sound engineer.

"And he said, 'How's business?' and I said, 'It's alright apart from musicians.' And he goes, 'It's funny you should say that because I picked up three guys the other day, three British guys like you, and they were going on about 25 per cent this and 25 per cent that and five per cent this and they looked pretty scruffy.'

"So he got them to where they were going and said, 'Have a good day, hope you have a good stockbroker meeting,' and they go, 'What's that? We're Coldplay!' And he goes to me, 'Have you heard of Coldplay?' I said, 'Yeah, they're big in Britain.' And he said, 'I thought they were f***ing three f***ing stockbrokers.' And I said, 'You're damn right.'

"'Cos that's what they are, f***ing middle-class businessmen. 'Cos their moms and dads are all bank managers, money is all they're bothered about. If they were my children I'd say, 'Get a f***ing proper job. Do something useful. Be a scientist.'"

well that was harsh...., was there more to the article?

I think that first article is bullshit!!! If they have the gift of music and can also make good money with it, then let them! No one ever hears anyone complaining about "poor" people asking for a raise and standig up for themselves regarding to what they want to earn and what they actually can earn. It is only that they are millionaires that journalist are suddenly very interested in what they earn. Such Bull shit!!! - If they want to be aware of their incomes and prevent being ripped off (like loads of musicans do... then please let them) And freaking cab drivers, those people can just piss me off!!! - SO what if they sound like brokers! Who said that you have to be naive and bloody financially ignorant if you also make brilliant music! - They should be happy for them cause they found the way to profit from their own talent and hard word and not give it all up to the record label! - Such Bull shit!!! - I can get so mad about this!!! - Some people only bear jalousy in their hearts and can't disinguish good from bad. I'd rather spend my money on Coldplay CD's than eat at MacDonalds!   Bastards! Pathetic!

^ I don't get this reaction.

The guy has an opinion. I don't know if it's right or wrong. You don't know if it's right or wrong. I disgaree with it. Getting so worked up about it to put exclamation points after each sentence? It seems like you're letting the article get to you.

Yeah, u r right. I'm letting it get to me a bit too much. I shouldn't really care that much. It is a bit because I am kind of in the same situation. Obviously not as big - and loads of folks that don't even know a thing about me judge me and see me as a sell out - but any way that's kind of a whole different issue. It's my luggage, a sore spot that got hit, so I bursted - definitely calmed down now though :D

Your post was a bit too serious, wasn't it? I just felt like getting worked up and so I did. C'est tout.

How does the driver know that they were'nt talking about giving 25% to charity or that 25% of cheeseburgers have cheese in them? I know its hard, but the driver shouldnt have been pokin his nose in. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but what that guy said was harsh. It's not anyone's fault whether someone's "middle class", so i dont know why he is using this as an insult.

Coldplay are one of the biggest bands in the globe at the moment and they were they the biggest selling band of the year last year (with Busted coming a 2nd haha :stunned: ). With this much success, they're bound to make lots of money and if they dont discuss their finances, who will? If they were dicussing their profits, why is it a crime? Anyway, i admire the fact that they give 10% of their earnings to charidy, thats awfully generous.
