Yeah, they sacked the keyboardist and the drummer. Wasn't too happy about that.

Listened a couple of times now. It's a good album, but I can see why parrotdies doesn't like it. Some of it gets too slick, It's Only Life for instance. there are some great tracks on there, though, but I like Broken Bells a lot more.

This is currently one of my contenders for worst album of 2012 (other albums under consideration: Born to Die, Paralytic Stalks, Reign of Terror).

 

Seriously... the more I listen to it, the more I dislike it.... a band on autopilot.

It was a little disappointing.

8.4? Pitchfork thinks it's as good as Neon Bible? Oh dear.

 

Personally? Most disappointing album of the year so far. I liked "Wincing" a lot more than many people, but this is just an all-around bland effort, with the first two tracks being really good and then the album just takes a nosedive.

Yeah, first full listen, and must say...real disappointment this one. :(
