i say let every couple who's devoted to each other have the rights and responsibilities that come with 'marriage'...that's all, nothing less nothing more.

Marriage is both a governmental and religious act. i find it very strange and unorthodox when a church marries two homosexuals. On the governmental side, that is true, they have as much right to be married by a judge. By my own observation it appears that girls are the majority for gay marriage, just an observation. Anyways, as said, i think the right to sacramental marriage is reserved for a man and woman only. Governmental marriage should be open to anyone. Either way, I don't see why marriage is such a big deal between gay people, can't they just live with each other and carry out their lives together? I suppose there are legal elements such as sharing property. I still don't consider homosexuality to be normal. Heterosexuality is clearly the way things are supposed to be.

ya, i agree, yet the weird thing is that people that are homos should be free to do what they want, just like us, however, on the viewpoint of another, though, if gays are allowed to marry then one day, probably, almost everyone will be gay :/ , and maybe the usual marriage (man + woman) may be completely void and overwhelemed by gay marriages, yet, however, we should be allowed to do what we want, but it might result in something worse, so my conclusion is, should gay marriages be allowed? Which puts everything i said back to square one. Oh well... its confusing and complicated, isnt it? :(

Valleyboy, I doubt anyone "wants" to be gay...that's just how their brain is hard-wired, and if you all religious Christians in here think that mankind is a "creation" of a "god", then this same "god" also creates homosexuals. Instead of seeing love and acceptance for ALL that "god" creates, I most usually find the folks who consider themselves to be holies Christians to be the most bigoted in such issues :dozey:

 

Science has proven thru statistics that all thru known history, there has always been about 5-10% of population that is gay.

 

And NO, humans are in no danger of getting extinct...last time I saw, we were the most numerous and strong of any other creatures inhabiting this planet...gay marriages aren't about to cause human extinction! :rolleyes:

all i know is, if i love a girl and wanna be with her, share my life with her, i'm allowed to, under law. why can't gays have this equality in the eyes of law? its a different matter altogether if various religions want to accept gays in their fold or not...

yes there can, aren't there studies that prove it is in your genes if you are homosexual, just like how you are left or right handed is pre-determined by your genetic make up.

in my opinion being gay is a hormonal inbalance. you wake up one day to find yourself getting feelings or sensations....yea...about the same sex. it is not inherited or learned by any means. and do you really think that god would create someone who he forsaw as being gay and daming the to the depths of hell. i dont think god would do that. yea. :stunned:
