mycdplayerisbroke got a job?

im a callboy and i get to talk to people all day...

hahha no im just kidding that would suck

but i work at my friend's parents' office so everyone's friendly.

and i just do odd jobs:

i.e. - filing, organizing things, making boxes, doing stuff

all for $5-6 an hour.

plus its under the table so none of it gets taken out for taxes.

its 4 days a week 3 hours a day

YAY! erebodeh wark!

Not me though, no, I don't want a job. Not yet.

I'm lucky enough to have a job that I really love. :D I'm gonna be sad to leave it in September.

congratulations eric! i hope you get your new bass soon :D i've never had a job but i really need one. i'm tired of living off of student loans

I need a job and no-one wants to employ me. Bloody bloody bloody.

^ heh.

Woo, glad you like it, so you don't study then? Is this full time?

well done on your job! I don't work

My bills DO pay themselves, and money DOES grow on trees. But i live with my mam and dad...and only got a few more months left, 'til i move to London. Then I'll HAVE to work to live, and pay bills...and the magic tree will be not exist  :snore: :/

I want a job :/

Seeing as I'm joining the army on September, I'm now trying to decide whether to find a job in the meantime and earn some money, or just enjoy myself and waste my time

i've had almost a year of that....i hope to never ever have to go through it again.

Seeing as I'm joining the army on September

You are Maya? I didn't know that.

Yeah, there's a law for that :) Once you graduate you have to join, and seeing as I'm graduating next month....

whoa the army?

i didnt know they let pretty girls in the army

They don't. That's why they didn't let me off :P

;)

I dont think I could ever stand having one of those jobs were the shifts only last 3 hours, thats like fricken nothing. I cant imagine working like that, only just getting into work and then leaving.

And getting a taxi. Like, I mean, if I worked for £3.50 and hour (Roughy what this guy gets) in my shift I would've made a lousy £10.50, and £4.00 would go to getting home. I'd constantly be thinking like that, going on lunch break to buy a drink for £1 is like 1/10th of the time your working there, etc. it would drive me NUTS

But I suppose if its 4 shifts a week its not too bad. My friend used to work two three hour long shifts on the weekend and is there really a point in getting a pay check for £20?

I'll stick to my wildly insane 10 and 12 hour shifts, and if theres a wedding on a sunday its 16 hours (Busy kitchen).

hmmm....everyone Vs. Bananaman :/ i thought you made a good point there...i would also go nuts at the amount i'd spend on travel if that were me.

<tries bonding Peace>

Bananaman, i was the same way when i worked part-time at a grocery store that was far from my house. I had to take the subway to get there and spending the money for transportation always bothered me.

work is work, regardless of how many hours you get.

(To the cdplayer thing) I know its your first venture into the work-force BIG MAN, but as long as you arent working 4 or 5 days a week it doesnt matter how many hours you get it still counts as part-time, smart child.
