June 10, 200818 yr I went back to the republic one more... talked with Ben and Lucy for a bit then I went home... I am listening to Politik for the first time in Years. I had it but then one day I sat on it and cracked my OLD cd. I still dont have a great idea how to use rapidshare type sites. Still no hot water. Today I think I am going for a coffee with my old landlady.. I have lost the pin number to my phone, and its in the old place. However the boy from lisbon never answers the door. Ohh I have the keys still. I need to return them, also I don´t want to but I am going to have to ask the lady if I cn use the shower, I have a friend who lives close by close by, but I like a little, she would let me use her shower but whilst I feel like that I dont think it would be good for me... how has you day been, I read you are studying hard.... Not sure

June 10, 200818 yr ^ heeey! :) I could get some French words because some of them have the same meaning and are identically spelled to the ones that I use in my mother tongue. I haven't listened to any Coldplay song (apart from the ones of the new album) in ages either. I guess I should. hahaha :lol: and you told me it's easier for you to find things when your bedroom is messy! If you wanted to, I could tell you how to use these websites. It's not difficult, I almost download things daily!! You'd better ask the landlady if you can use the shower. My day? baah, I've been studying... tomorrow Im taking the first exam. June 10, 200818 yr We need the rain. Hey guess what my teacher loves Dr Who... its all we ended up talking about. I got a free CD from FNAC. With some new music I have not heard before. All good.. with what sounds like some decent spanish groups.. and some new ones from the UK I have never heard off.. all indie type music. Not the cheesy stuff I got my self into like Pualina Rubio etc... i learnt something today when I talk about something that belongs to someone Ariticle I have always added a "s" at the end.. Now I would say la targeta de Maria before I said la targeta es marias... I learnt never add a s at the end of someones name unless they have a s at their name like you...

I was in a gay bar with some friends and Pulina Rubio came on... damm the whole place song it word to word the DJ played it twice. It was fun...

June 10, 200818 yr It's not a dialect, it's actually a language widely spoken in a certain region of Spain. The same thing happens between Irish and English in Ireland, me thinks... well, maybe it's not exactly the same case but they share some similarities.

Although Irish, or Gaelic as its called in the native tongue, is only spoken in small pockets around rural areas, especially Mayo. About only 90,000 out of 5million (or so) can speak it fluently. It is our official language but its going the way of the dodo.:(

People speak about 50% Spanish and 50% Catalan in the city where I'm living (and it's a big one). So we're bilingual and this is always an advantage. Would you believe me if I told you I know a few Gaelic words? Like... Cona atas tú? Ta me go maith Ta me go dona Slán I'm not sure I've spelled them properly though. Anyway, this is all the Gaelic that I know (so far).

June 11, 200818 yr :dance: hiya i'm back to my place. :) will go to uni tomorrow to ask some lectures about some subjects. i have few more to say ... we were in the middle of Madrid, when there was a strike, it caused a long queue of cars trying to move, and it made us need to spend 2 extra hours :S but is OK. :D

Learning a second language to the extent that you master it is one of the most difficult things to do because once you're bilingual, then it isn't that hard to learn a new one. And this doesn't have to do with you, it just happens to everyone. It's as if it opened your mind to new word structures, ways of saying stuff, etc. About bésame mucho, I don't know whose author is... but it has been covered by loads of artists, like The Beatles, Frank Sinatra among others. I'm not sure if it counts. Some of Sigur Ros songs are written in Hopelandic and this isn't even a language. I read somewhere they say it's a kind of gibberish or something like this :thinking:
