COLDPLAY RELEASE SPOTIFY SINGLES RECORDING FEATURES NEW VERSION OF THE BAND’S LATEST SINGLE WITH SELENA GOMEZ + KID CUDI COVER Coldplay have today released their first Spotify Singles recording. Side A of the two-track release is an intimate and stripped-down acoustic version of the band’s current single Let Somebody Go with Selena Gomez (who also features on the new recording). Side B is the band’s upbeat, synthy cover of Kid Cudi’s iconic 2008 hit Day ‘N’ Nite. Both songs were recorded at Henson Recording Studio, Los Angeles. Chris Martin said: "I have always loved Selena’s voice and when Let Somebody Go arrived it felt like she was the only person to sing it with. I’m so happy she said yes. She is wonderful to work with and the kind of artist whose work sounds even better after you get to meet them.” "Day 'N' Nite - I loved when it came out, and I still love love love it.” Martin continued, “This is the first time I think that we’ve really taken proper time to record a cover, because in my head I could hear a version of it quite different from the original, that hopefully just reinforces what a brilliant song it is. One way or another I hope that anyone listening will just think, 'Wow, Kid Cudi is amazing.'" Let Somebody Go is the third single to be taken from Coldplay’s hit album Music Of The Spheres, which has already surpassed more than a billion total streams. The single is the follow-up to My Universe, which made history as the first Billboard Hot 100 #1 by two co-billed lead groups, Coldplay also became the first British band ever to debut at #1 on the Hot 100 with the collaboration. Next month, the band begin their massive 2022 global stadium tour in Costa Rica. The full list of Music Of The Spheres World Tour shows is available at coldplay.com/tour. The tour is accompanied by a comprehensive set of sustainability initiatives which can be seen at coldplay.com/sustainability.- COLDPLAY RELEASE FIRST SPOTIFY SINGLES RECORDING!

Unanimous disappointment from fans as Coldplay bassist and Applied Art Forms creative director, Guy Berryman, shows off his newly acquired 'Bored Yacht Club' NFT on Twitter. As NFT's have gained popularity, many have expressed their distaste towards them. However, it hasn't stopped celebrities from investing in these environmentally unfriendly 'Non-fungible tokens'. Guy Berryman is among the latest in a slew of celebs that have received backlash for their purchase and Coldplay fans are not holding back. While many are joking about being able to "right click and save" the NFT, others aren't as forgiving of Berryman's decision to dabble in the Ethereum blockchain. Long-time Coldplay collaborator Brian Eno has expressed his scepticism towards cryptocurrency - NFT's in particular. “NFTs seem to me just a way for artists to get a little piece of the action from global capitalism, our own cute little version of financialization,” Eno tells 'Crypto Syllabus' “How sweet — now artists can become little capitalist assholes as well.” According to carbon.fyi, it is estimated that Guy is responsible for approximately 354 kilograms of CO₂ emissions throughout his foray into NFT's. Berryman's latest purchase is estimated to have cost upwards of $200,000, leading fans to discover previous purchases through his profile on OpenSea. Coldplay are currently gearing up for a massive world tour to accompany their ninth studio album 'Music of The Spheres'. With the announcement of the tour, the band pledged to make it as environmentally friendly as possible. "We're very conscious that the planet is facing a climate crisis. So we've spent the past two years consulting with environmental experts to make this tour as sustainable as possible" Coldplay said in a tweet. Guy's unnecessary carbon contributions not only encourage others to do the same but also completely goes against the band's mantra towards climate change.- Coldplay songs with swearing
There's always censored versions! Although, I think these words are part of everyday life and the band shouldn't be scared to include them in their music. Someone being offended by swear words is their own personal problem, not the bands!- COLDPLAY AND SELENA GOMEZ PREMIERE LET SOMEBODY GO VIDEO
Coldplay have today premiered the video for Let Somebody Go, their heart-wrenching new single with Grammy-nominated singer Selena Gomez. The video is available to watch at youtu.be/CWCMGIG1Y54 now. The stunning, Escher-inspired video was directed by Dave Meyers and co-conceived / choreographed by Yoann Bourgeois. Let Somebody Go is taken from Coldplay’s hit album Music Of The Spheres, which has already surpassed more than a billion total streams. The single is the follow-up to My Universe, which made history as the first Billboard Hot 100 #1 by two co-billed lead groups, Coldplay also became the first British band ever to debut at #1 on the Hot 100 with the collaboration. Lukas! I listen to the Natalie Imbruglia version often, such a bop- 🪐 Coldplay: Music of the Spheres 🪐 | Out Now! | Discussion
I need to drop in here and say I've been loving Let Somebody Go lately. It was probably one of my least favourite tracks on this album from my first few listens, but I have it on repeat lately. And Chris' performance on Ellen today was incredible, nice to hear a piano version without anything else/Selena. I'd say my favourite off this album now are Let Somebody Go, Higher Power and Coloratura.- 🪐 Coldplay: Music of the Spheres 🪐 | Out Now! | Discussion

As Coldplaying's forums turn 20 this year, we're proud to say that the past 20 years of content has survived the test of time. That's almost 6 million posts from 130,000+ users, and it's all right here! Sadly, externally linked content such as concerts, interviews, photos etc. have not. The past 20 years has seen a number of file sharing websites come and go, along with the Coldplay content uploaded to them. That's why we are introducing the Coldplay Archive Project, a non-profit, fan-powered multimedia archive for Coldplay content. The Coldplay Archive has been set up to preserve as much Coldplay content as possible. Currently, over 24TB of redundant storage has been allocated to the project, with more to come as needed. A sophisticated backup system has also been put in place, with plans to archive to LTO tape in the future for up to 30 years of data retention. Basically, once a file is uploaded to the archive, it will stay there for a very long time! Longer than it would ever last on any cloud storage service. Due to cost limitations, there are no plans to make the Coldplay Archive publicly available. However, in the future, large data dumps of the archive will be available via torrents for anyone to download. We are looking for members of the community with a large collection of Coldplay content, to upload as much as possible to the archive. Once the files are uploaded, we will take it from there! The files will be organised and catalogued for preservation and made available to download by other members of the project. If you have an existing collection of Coldplay content and would like to join the archive, please DM me and we can have a chat! Make sure to include a list, or screenshots of what you have, if possible. Let's hope that when Coldplay finish up in a few years, we can look back on over two decades of concerts, interviews, photographs and more!- Coldplay on The Ellen DeGeneres Show
