I just googled this band (didn't know anything about them apart from the Flower of Life controversy) and found out that aparently the lead singer urinated on a female fan some years ago. Just saying, that says a lot about this guy's manners already. I could never be fan of a band where the members are assholes instead of decent human beings, kudos to Coldplay for being decent people

Yeah, I didn't hear them at all so this doesn't count. Also, the entire Halftime Show is not something I would single out of Coldplay performances for....anyone I want to introduce to Coldplay, honestly.

I had to buy a Glasto 2005 bootleg because I just had to have a DVD of the X&Y Era ! It's such a shame there is no Live 2006 and Live 2009 !!! (or Live 2001, although I understand that they were still too low-key at that point) But then for GS which is nowhere near this stuff in quality they record a Live DVD. These are things that I don't understand....

I'm searching for Coldplay performances that involved an accompanying orchestra for a friend who likes classical music. So far the only one I found is Politik at the Grammys 2003. Does anyone know of other Coldplay performances with an orchestra ? (Just to be clear, I'm not looking for orchestral covers of Coldplay, of which there are plenty, but performances where the actual band was present !) Thanks !

I don't understand it either because it is exactly catering to today's chart-determinating crowd, but honestly I think it's not a huge loss for the world that it's not doing so well...

OMG I walked into a coffeeshop today and immediately heard a familiar guitar melody playing...and while my mind was still trying to figure out over all that crowd noise what it was, I heard "Maybe we could again"....it was Fun !!! What a pity that I caught only the very last line of it !

While I agree that it was not particularly nice of bart to express her feelings that strongly (and in fact was unfortunately quite counterproductive to a valid opinion here, imho !), some people here really act as if Chris Martin is some kind of god who is untouchable and may not be implicated negatively in anything. Come on, Coldplay is not a kind of "religion" that is per definition unfallible and always right. Some people sometims act as if it is blasphemy to say something negative about Coldplay. For goodness's sake Chris Martin is just a human being - I wouldn't wish him anything bad because I would not wish any human being who has not done harm to others anything bad, but this was obviously written in anger and is not a capital offense. Calm down everybody.

Have been watching a lot of Coldplay concert footage recently (Parachutes Tour, Glastonbury 2005 and others from X&Y tour, Pinkpop 2011 which imho is the best concert of the MX Era) and have become a bit sad that I "missed"all these great moments (have never seen them live)...and now let's see if I can make it to the AHFOD tour but even if I do they won't be playing the songs I love most and anyway the tickets were so expensive that I went for cheaper ones in the upper ranks of the stadium, so I wonder if I will even see anything at all... :(
