NOOOOOOOO ! Chris watched silently as the train departed, tears streaming down his face. Suddenly, a single, overwhelming thought took his mind by storm. He laid the guitar on the ground, quietly marched off the platform and went on for some minutes, till he arrived at a bend of the railway tracks. There he laid down on the tracks, as if lying on his own in a separate sky, and waiting to die on his own here tonight.

....and to his horror, she was about to board the train with the other man ! Chris realized this was the once-in-a-lifetime moment to save his love, and he went down on one knee before Gwyneth, his fingers running delicately over the guitar strings, and started singing in his most beautiful and vulnerable voice: "Babe...it's been a loooooong time coming....such a long, long tiiiime..."

Matt yelled: "Take a car downtown where the lost boys meet, and then turn left at the warning sign ! You'll find that the station is just around the corner !"

But halfway through the coffee, Matt pointed hs finger at the kitchen clock and said urgently, in an impatient whisper: "Can you hear the ticking clocks ? You'd better take to the station in a second with a faster car if you want to meet Gwyneth again in the rain ! Quick, Chris, get on your way before you have to curse missed opportunities !"

Who was the "Prospekt" of your announcements in the Viva Era, and who or what does "Prospekt" as in Prospekt's March actually mean ?

Chris did not let himself get distracted by the news coverage, and after punching a paparazzi who got too close in his nose, picked up the acoustic guitar that Jonny handed him and held his hand up for a taxi to take him to the train station. When the taxi driver asked him "Where to, my lad ?", Chris distractedly muttered "Take me back to the start..."

When you compare it to the original version of this song by Kanye West (released years ago and featuring another singer, available on Youtube), this sounds hugely different, and the piano part is definitely new, so who knows if it is not by Chris ?

Are you still the same 4 people who set out to create a band and get your music heard in the world, back in 1996 at the dorms of UCL ?

Jonny walked up to Chris, looked directly into his crystal blue eyes and said: "Don't ever let go....I overheard Gwyn and the other man talk about a train voyage they wanna make. If I were you, on the platform I'd stand and wait until I'd get that message home ! You need to stand and say that in a haze, a stormy haze, you'll be there and be loving her always, always !"

Chris felt as if his head was turned out and his world turned upside down. Of all the things he didn't understand, he understood the least why Gwyn had left him. "Maybe," he cried, "if i was bigger, stronger and drove a faster car, she would have stayed with me..."

And Chris said: "Do you know that feeling, Jonnyboy, when you're too in love to let it go ?" and felt his heart break in two.

And JonnyBunny delivered the sad news to Chris: "Chris, I think I just saw Gwyn...and she was kissing another guy. But don't let it break your heart, mate !"

Jonny was still in a reflective mood when suddenly Chris came running towards him screaming "Murder ! They're coming to get us !"

Oh no, Teddy was separated from Mr Bean in the end ! :cry: (But he found another wacky dork to live with, at least ;))

Meanwhile, Jonny asked "It' so cold, so cold here ! Don't you shiver ?"

Meanwhile, Chris fell asleep and dreamed that Teddy stood on the edge, tied to a noose - upon which he woke with a start and called out: "Mr Bean ! Please come along and cut him loose !"

And birds came flying at the speed of sound, and showed him how it all began, and birds came flying from the underground, and he saw them and began to understand !

Suddenly, it ocurred to him to take a closer look at his teddy and he discovered it was not at all his, but the teddy of Mr Bean !

Just began listening to this band, I got curious because I saw an interview where Chris said it was one of the main influences for X&Y and have been meaning to check them out ever since. And have to say: WOW ! Very talented band, very cool stuff ! Multi-instrumentation and versatility at its best ! EDIT: Just read it in this thread. Did Win Butler really accuse Chris of copying him instrumentation-, clothing- and manner-wise during the Viva Era ? Is this blog post allegdly written by him http://chrismartinstolemyband.blogspot.de/ real or fake ?

I didn't like their earlier sound, but think that their first go at rock is pretty good, if you eclipse Mumford's voice which is...well...(no offence meant to hard-core fans)....truly awful. Nevertheless, parts of the album have an almost X&Y-esque vibe to me ! My personal favourite is Broad-shouldered Beasts...that haunting guitar at the beginning is awesome.

I doubt the Coldplaying announcement will have anything to do with AHFOD, unfortunately. It's gonna be another bunch of questions to the band members on something general like last time, i doubt the band would reveal anything about AHFOD to Coldplaying. They will make a general announcement if it's time in their eyes. Of course I hope this will be as soon as possible :lol: I think the trouble is that Chris just couldn't keep his mouth shut and announced the new album much too early (back in December), resulting in us waiting for it impatiently here :D

One of the really beautiful live moments is when (during the MX Era) Chris begins Viva la Vida by quietly playing the chorus melody on piano, and then the strings and Will's Ooohaohoooho's set in...almost magical
