I also recently discovered this song, some weeks ago. Must be the only rap song I somewhat like, because of that piano part. Do you know if the piano part was actually composed by Chris ? Maybe you'll also like these too songs, do you know them: Beach Chair and Most Kingz by Jay-Z ;)

hahahaha today....hm. Things i dont understand

After having recently buying some proper CD's (had all songs as MP3 only before that), I began wondering which CD booklet (of either all 6 studio albums or all 3 live abums) is your favourite, and why ? Of all the live albums, I think Live 2012 has the best booklet, with all those tiny lyrics/sentences scribbled everywhere and so much to discover if you look closely (and have good eyes ;)) As for the studio albums, so far I only have X&Y and VLVODAAHF. Don't like the VLV booklet, somehow I find the paintings ugly. I conceptually love the X&Y booklet, I just wish they had chosen less dark colors for some pages because I find it hard to discern who is on thes small pics with my eyes. The other albums I cannot comment on at the moment. I'm most curious about why you like the booklet you prefer, so please post the "why" :D

I think one of the reasons it won't happen is the following: Imagine Chris agrees to play this crowdfunded concert....can you imagine just how many crowdfunding campaigns for other cities/countries will sprout in the internet the day after he announces this ? That said, I still wish you all good luck - he did play on some rich person's private birthday party once for money, didn't he ? So it would actually be quite decent to respect fans' crowdfunded efforts in the same way.

I hear ya. I have the impression Coldplay fans are generally among the more emotional and sensitive people, this is what is so great about them. Vent here if that helps you feel better. You know, we'll come along and we'll cut you loose :hug:

A Rush of Blood to the Head vs. Here Before (Vashti Bunyan)

I love X&Y a lot, but AROBTTH always strikes me as the album where everything harmonizes so well. The atmosphere on AROBTTH is certainly not a happy one but it is not as dark as GS for example, what I love is that though the themes are serious and melancholic and feel "heavy", it has this overall "warm" sound of instrumentation...do you know what I mean ? Just like Parachutes, which was a bit lighter though. Wish they'd revisit this "warm" sound.

Got a question that may sound stupid but...what exactly is the difference between "alternative" rock and just "rock" (i.e. mainstream rock ?) I never quite understood that, other than I know that Parachutes and AROBTTH are examples of alt rock. How would you classify X&Y for example ?

And the overall theme about the senselessness of violence and wars in today's world, and all the innocent people slain. Or the dreams in the heads of those drowning in the Meditteranean before the coast of Europe, hoping for a better life but receiving rejection and death instead.

One thing I don't understand is why he doesn't simply climb back the way he climbed up (facing the audience, you know what I mean ?) But yeah, the way he did it and then in time with the music was just cool ! :-D
