I didn't say you said them, I said they were said in response to you (see p.205) !!!!!!!! Please re-read my post carefully. (I didn't want to drop the name of who said it here so I put it in the passive).

Fully agree with the stuff quoted above, couldn't have said it better. I prefer the rock sound but first and foremost, I want meaningful and deep songs back as Coldplay used to make them. Miracles, for me, is the epitome of blandness and mediocrity (within Coldplay's work - not comparing to other current music now, where far worse stuff seems abundant...) I also wanted to say that I find such responses such as "If you want AROBTTH, then go listen to it in a lonely corner in your room" or "why being on 2015 coldplaying.com then" (paraphrasing now) as they have been made within the last pages of this thread to ov3la, very inconsiderate, to say the least. Of course we are a mixed bunch and some fans prefer the rock sound, while others prefere the pop sound and some don't care which sound. Nobody should be scorned because of what he/she likes or how he/she wishes the new Coldplay album to be.

To Coldplay, the entire band: Will you ever consider returning to the alternative rock sound of your first three albums that made you rise from a students' band to the biggest band in the world, and which all those fans of the earliest days - exactly those fans that "gave you the best job in the world" and raised you to such incredible heights - long to hear again ?

it's on Coldplaying Facebook too, as "confirmed"... On the genre vs. producer discussion, imho the producer does reveal something about the intended "feel" of the album. You get those producers on board that you feel will be the ones to fit the genre. You wouldn't call in Eno to produce Parachutes, or Stargate to produce AROBTTH (figuratively speaking).

Hi ! I have the distinct impression this post was meant for another, earlier story which unfortunately has already been finished, so forgive me if I just pass it over ;) But when Chris saw Xyloto, he realized with a sigh that although she was likely to become good friends with him, she had not been the missing piece he had been looking for. So he hid in a bulletproof vest, with the windows all closed, and hoped to see Gwyneth again, soon !

So there was something up on June 1st after all. Just that it was not good news, at least for some of us. The same producers as Miracles ? The same who produce stuff like Rihanna, Katy Perry, Marina and the Diamonds, Beyonce, SELENA GOMEZ, USHER ??? oh dear. seems my fears are coming true. Bland + sugar pop = bland sugar pop. I hope I'm wrong.

Please all vote for this question. I've been dying to know the answer ever since I heard my first Coldplay song. Are the recent rumors true that Potato Martin will be featured on backing vocals for LP11 ? And what about those rumors that Coldplay are planning to do a live appearance at Glastonbury with the Crazy Frog himself to celebrate 10 years of fruitful collaboration between the two ?

For me, definitely Live 2003. In it, they come of as more authentic and emotional than in Live 2012, which certainly depicts great colors and scences but lacks the unique atmosphere and vibe of Live 2003. I can't say how disappointed I am, by the way, that Live 2005/2006 does not exist :( No Live DVD of them during their strongest (imho) Era....
