No, I wouldn't think so. The hate for MX is unparalleled (and rightly so) and X&Y is a fan favorite from what I've observed.

I'm all for being positive but as far as Stargate go I think damage limitation is what we should hope for, if the album sounds in the vein of Miracles and not S&M by Rihanna we'll be on to a bloody winner there! I know you're all hoping that Stargate dabble into experimentation but Occam's Razor applies. They produce pop hit records. Coldplay want pop hit records so they hire Stargate for that reason.

Honestly VLV is the most overrated song in Coldplay's discography. If we're talking the megahits, I even prefer Paradise (and that's coming from a hardcore Oldplayer might I add!) I think people are confusing thinking a song is overrated and thinking a song is bad. Obviously VLV is a good song (lyrically it's particularly strong) but I honestly think it's one of the weakest songs in its respective era. I can't get why people so feverishly love it. To me voting VLV over Violet Hill is just plain wrong Ah, the differences in opinion ;) I vote VLV!

It never ceases to amaze me how hard it is to find coldplayers in every day life. Seemingly they've sold 80 million records but I can't find anyone that's more than a casual listener. I was at a party last night and when the conversation turned to music I said "I love Coldplay" and the immediate response from the girls I was talking to was like "Oh, ASFOS? :)" My reaction was :blank::blank::blank: When talking to people who would have a stronger interest in music the general reaction you get is "The early stuff was good but I sort of lost interest after AROBTTH" As Chris would say "Is there anybody out there?!"

That's not really the point I was making. I was talking about in previous rounds before there was an orchestrated campaign to #saveviva and then a few posters pulling the strings in the game to convince others to vote something that wasn't their first voting preference. That's not really what the game's about, is it? Like, for example: say, in the AROBTTH elimination game if there was a big enough influx of posters (but really it would just be a vocal minority) trying to #saveIBloomBlaum they could advance it very far in the game by influencing others opinions on how to vote. Again, it makes the game more exciting (especially in the later rounds) It just annoyed me because I think Viva is currently the weakest on the list.

Sums up the whole EDM genre in my opinion.

I know it's all part of the game but it kinda annoys me how everyone just decides on a song they are going to vote out to save the big megahit because a couple of people voted for it already instead of voting for what they actually think the weakest song on the list is. Once again I vote VLV.

This is promising. I know you said it was a bad quality recording but how did you find the content in both terms of production and lyrically? (not asking for specifics, could you just elaborate vaguely without giving too much away? :) )

I can't imagine the song being the same tempo as Violet Hill as VH is a slow to medium tempo song. Going on the music video filmed in India it seems more likely to be an upbeat and fast paced song.
