1. That part's not even written by Coldplay.
2. When you've had a bad day the only thing to be done is to switch on Parachutes !
3. It's not even that, more so their reluctance to put all their quality work on the album. Imagine GS if the Target exclusives were placed on the album's regular release. It would have been a MUCH stronger album imo. The "42 minute" rule is a stupid self regulation that doesn't make any sense when you think about it. Would an author have a "300 page" rule when they start out on writing a novel? Of course not as the story might not be expressed properly in that amount of pages. An album is the exact same. Artistic restrictions only hamper creativity.
4. 9 songs isn't an album, more like an extended EP.
5. That's the one. Go ;)
6. I got one if you don't mind. Let's see if anyone can get it.
7. I Heard In My Place on the radio when I was very young. Hooked ever since. I asked my Dad what band it was and he said "Coldplay" and went out and bought AROBTTH for me. Still have that CD to this day. It's gone everywhere with me since then and the case looks like it's been through a trash compactor. I never replaced it because it has sentimental value.
8. What? :shocked2::stunned:
9. Jonny without the cap when he had flowing locks, with the cap now :laugh3: Howard Stern interview vs Zane Lowe interview
10. Seems the Indian influences are going to play a big part, larger than I imagined. Seems it'll be a motif running through the whole album rather than just a couple of songs. It'll be interesting to hear to say the least. Hope they can pull it off and give an accurate representation of Indian culture rather than stereotypes. Cultural appropriation and all that.
11. This is the first version of AROBTTH.
12. This is actually ridiculous. Clearly, as an artistic endeavor, AROBTTH is miles above MX. It'd be laughable to suggest MX is anywhere near AROBTTH in any category whether it be influence, staying power, song structure, lyrics, authenticity etc. AROBTTH is a classic album that will be remembered by many as one of the best albums ever made. MX is overproduced and has Rihanna on it. We can talk out of our ears about "subjectivity" all we want but some indicators of quality have to be put in place. Some people think One Direction are better than the Beatles, Some people think Sharknado is better than the Shawshank Redemption and some people think MX is better than AROBTTH :rolleyes: Pitchfork the best critic out there? Don't make me laugh.
13. The sarcasm is strong with this one :P
14. If you think MX is Coldplay's best album, you've clearly only listened to one Coldplay album :laugh3:
15. Ah, I see. From the context it seemed you were suggesting MX was their best album :laugh3:
16. You honestly think MX is their best album to date?!
17. Violet hill? :)
