Okay, If I can shortly interject on this and give my opinion (without dragging it all up again). The whole reason I sought to seek out this messageboard in the first place was because as a massive fan of Coldplay's older work, I felt slightly disenfranchised after GS. I wanted to share my opinion with other Coldplay fans and wanted to express my apprehension in waiting for LP7 because I had a similar feeling before GS came out, so maybe it's that feeling that your picking up as people judging the album before it is released? It's natural for a fandom to compare artistic work to previous artistic work, maybe that's not fair. Maybe we should judge everything as a stand alone creation, but that will never happen. The fact is when LP7 is released, music critics are going to compare it to AROBTTH. That's life. Also, on the "high quality post" thing. Sometimes I don't feel like writing a sociological thesis on the state of modern music and capitalism. I just want to relax and share my opinion with other Coldplay fans.

Low is probably my favourite song on X&Y. I once again vote Fix You.

Yep. That's why any band that try to adopt a piano into their repertoire are immediately accused of trying to emulate the Coldplay and Keane "sound". For that reason alone I think it would be great to hear more guitar work from Chris, if even only to break the mold and do something a little different in an attempt to get away from the Coldplay=Piano conception everyone seems to have about them.

Instead of having the Miracles/New AHFOD video when it's released, could you make it so that every time the page is refreshed you get a different music video from any era?

It's a lot more raw and visceral sounding live than on the studio version :)

Could the wiki be merged with the main site somehow? I think it would make more sense if the two were just merged into one and have one source for Coldplay news/information. Although I don't know anything about the tech side of things so I wouldn't know it that was feasible or not!

I don't think that's writing, it looks more like a pattern design to me.

I'm going to throw out a radical idea concerning the LP7 outfits. Considering the guys are all wearing different colours, maybe they have gone back to wearing their own clothes? To me anyway, it seems they have slowly but surely moved away from the whole Halloween outfit thing since VLV. MX definitely had its own defined style, but the clothes were nowhere near as intricate as VLV. During the GS era the clothes were definitely co-ordinated by a stylist but didn't have the same pomp as MX with the paint and patches. I know the patches on the grey jacket sported by Chris might put a hole in this theory but it's just a thought.

Do we know for certain they produced this track though? I think the general consensus was that Stargate/Phil Tan would only produce maybe two or three tracks (Which could well be the singles considering their pure pop credentials) and the rest would be Rik Simpson.

The music video is second billing to the actual song. I would be perfectly content to get the audio of the single tomorrow and not get the video for another 2-3 weeks. Yeah, the concept with the Holi powder, the new LP7 style and the fact that the video was shot in India is all very interesting, but let us remember the actual single is the most important thing.

Do you really think they would fly to India to film a promo for iHeartradio?

The blue spot is really cool looking! It reminds me of the X&Y outfits but still original.
