  7. The first I remember (Probably not the first time considering how popular Coldplay were in the early 00's) was In My Place when I was about 7 or 8. However, my first proper introduction was when Violet Hill was released. I remember being completely blown away, the jagged guitars and the strike of the piano, Brian Enos heartbreak seeped ambient intro and that guitar solo... other worldly. It still remains my favourite song. (There's no songs called 'Your introduction to Coldplay' so I thought I'd share that) What was your greatest 'Deja vu' moment?
  8. Wish I Was Here I seriously can't be the only one who missed this?? I feel ashamed :embarrassed: [video=youtube;821nZkp0-Lc]
  9. I really think you're on to something here, even if they don't release AHFOD on their own label, why would they go to the effort of registering their own label to do nothing with it? Not AHFOD, but down the line we could see self-released Coldplay albums, a very interesting prospec(k)t. That also may put to bed the myth LP7 will be their last...
  10. Are you insinuating they could release AHFOD on their own label? I don't know if they're out of contract with Parlophone but it would be interesting to see what they would do with the extra autonomy of releasing on their own label.
  11. Yeah, but as a Coldplay fan I have faith that they will do another album in the vein of A Rush Of Blood To The Head. It won't be AHFOD, It probably won't be today or tomorrow. But I hope that one day (probably a good few years from now) that they will go back to the style that made them so great. I think it's a discussion that's worth dragging up over and over again because as fans it's our job to decide what is good and to criticize the bad.
  12. My favourite era for b sides was X&Y. Some of those b sides belonged on the album (Things I don't Understand!) followed closely by AROBTTH era b sides (There wasn't one bad song written during that era) Crest of Waves, One I love, I Bloom Blaum. I don't know how A Whisper got on the album and some of those ended up as B sides. The Prospekt March EP was experimental greatness, really makes that era for me. My personal favourite b side is Help Is Round The Corner.
  13. I know, I was only joking :laugh3: I'm actually quite fond of MX (But don't tell anyone, I have an Oldplayer reputation to uphold around here! :P)
  14. Something they were able to do for the first 4 albums you mean ;) No, but in all seriousness, if they could do that it would be immense. I see Coldplay taking a well deserved break after LP7 though (Sort of like Keane who are not broken up per se just on indefinite hiatus so they can explore other things) . So we could be waiting a while for that dream to be realised.
  15. ^^^That tribe of reprobates doesn't count, as they did it using the same three chords over and over and over and over.... :P (Joking, I actually quite like Noel and his solo stuff)

  17. No, You're to far down the discography.
  18. Ah, In My Place (I caught on eventually :laugh3:) We all feel this sometimes.
