  1. Closer to Home? ;) :laugh3: No, I think it's Violet Hill?
  2. I've come to despise the word 'soon'
  3. Lots of variation in some peoples posts. I always struggled to see how people could have a Coldplay song as track 1 on their playlist and track 2 could be a snoop dog song, yet I see more and more of this lately. I put it down to the advent of the internet and the availability of music nowadays. I must say I admire all of you with vibrant musical tastes, I find I like one style/genre and that's what I love, can't stand much else. Obviously, I'm a soft rock fan and enjoy quiet, emotional, melodic and relaxing music (with the occasional branching out, but this is rare) My favourite artists (not including Coldplay which are no. 1 for me) are: 1. Radiohead 2. Keane 3. Travis 4. The Cranberries
  4. Clocks - Coldplay 12 Paranoid Android- Radiohead 9 Citizen Erased- Muse 9 Do I Wanna Know- Arctic Monkeys 10 Take Me Out - Franz Ferdinand 11 Have A Nice Day- Stereophonics 10 Pride (In The Name Of Love) - U2 10 Money- Pink Floyd 10 Only Love- Mumford & Sons 10 Hitchin A Ride- Green Day 10 Dog Days Are Over- Florence & The Machine 10 Heart-Shaped Box- Nirvana 10 Centuries- Fall Out Boy 10 Canned Heat- Jamiroquai 10 Californication- RHCP 9 No One Knows- QOTSA 10 Let Me Drown- Soundgarden 10
  5. Exactly, lesser known and upcoming bands should be opening for Coldplay, like how Coldplay supported U2 at Slane during the Parachutes era, not vapid pop acts who are already established and have sold millions of records :confused: You can just imagine the type of people this tour would be aimed at (and as a consequence of that, the substance of the album) if Rihanna is supporting them. Really hope this is not true.
  6. Why just the US? They might not need it, but we do. Can anyone confirm the grave Rihanna news? Hope that's not true.
  7. It hasn't been performed live for years because of all of you!!! :lol: :laugh3: :laugh3:
  8. That could be, and I'm not exaggerating here, the best song in history.
  9. Moses already?? This round I vote I Ran Away (Sorry I ran away :embarrassed:)
  10. It's ruined by the effect, It barely resembles what Chris actually sounds like. This is Chris Martin we're talking about. Why couldn't Avicii just leave Chris's vocals as is??
  11. :D [video=youtube;kToIXqvtufU]
  12. Me the day we get something official.
  13. Imagine if every track was titled "A 'Something' full of 'Something'": :laugh3::laugh3::P An Ocean Full Of Water A Heart full of Heartbreak A field full of Flowers
  14. Is it out today? My local bookshop sells RS. I'd run down and get it now if they weren't closed.
  15. Once Coldplay were involved I wouldn't care :laugh3::laugh3:
  16. I have had Help Is Round The Corner on repeat all week.
  17. A Coldplay collaboration with Thom Yorke is quite a humorous notion. The only collaboration I'd like to see (and one which is in the realm of possibility) would be with Noel Gallagher. Apart from that, no collaborations please.
  18. I thought this as well. Are you sure this is Magic? The drums sound similar but the similarities end there.
  19. Well, that's where our opinion differs, because I do happen to think X&Y is an incredible album and song titles only make up a tiny sector of why it is incredible. A Sky Full Of Stars is a very banal title, but of course this is just my opinion.
  20. It'll certainly be a bright album, no doubt it will have that awful "pop" vibe coming off it and everything that goes with that- Synths, Over-Production, electronic drum kit, lush melodies and cheesy lyrics. I've come to except this now really, My only concern would be that since they never do the same thing twice, and Mylo was considered a step into the pop arena, they might delve even deeper into pure pop music, At least MX had a fair rendition of Jonny's guitar and Will's Drums. I hope we don't lose them altogether. They might decide to put everything into this pop image they've garnered over the last few years As far as titles go, I wouldn't hold your breath. A Head Full of Dreams is pretty generic if we're being honest, we already have had a title like that and let me tell you it isn't my favourite Coldplay song... I'd love to see a return of Viva-esque titles but even the title of the album tells us this won't happen.
