Why do I dislike AHFOD so much?
*talks in Caveman voice* Me love Star Wars and being a geek. Me think this thread should be renamed 'Geek Thread':D

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
This! I hope they reunite with Jon Hopkins and Brian Eno. Instead of Stargate, put a real producer there like Jamie xx:D

===The ultimate Oldplaying Thread===S, BS, TBR, P, AROBTTH, X&Y, VLV, PM===
I want Coldplay to be as ambient as possible (like Kid A) now that they're not doing rock anymore.

Why do I dislike AHFOD so much?
I love AHFOD, but I only really REALLY like AHFOD (the incredible title track:D), Birds, Amazing Day, Up&Up, the interludes, Fun and AOAL. I've decided Hymn's a cool dance rock track n all, but it's a bit weird seeing it come from Coldplay, it's still good though. Everglow's beautiful but can get boring at times (except from the lyrics and Jonny's solo). Army Of One is GARBAGE. XMTS is no longer my least favourite, but still awful. I really hope they never work with Stargate again. They ruin good songs.

[The Telegraph intv.] Coldplay: 'Rock music has nowhere left to go’
Imo, Bastille, Imagine Dragons and OneRepublic are quite good, but not really unique and different. I just remembered Tame Impala are a psychedelic rock band, I really loved Currents. There's option 1. Then there is Foals, a British rock band whose unique sounds propel on the new album What Went Down. There's option 2. And after that there's of course good ol' Radiohead who might release next year (PLEEEEASE!) There's option 3. Rock isn't dead, but if pop dominates like this it will stay unpopular for a bit unfortunately.

[The Telegraph intv.] Coldplay: 'Rock music has nowhere left to go’
I wish this 2010's pop thing with any of the music industry never happened. I'm crying that Chris has said 'rock's done':( But it won't be done.

What are you thinking right now?
Coldplay should make an album with songs like Chinese Sleep Chant and Midnight. That'd get a 10/10...

Which Coldplay Album Would You Consider the Band's Masterpiece?
I believe that AROBTTH is not only Coldplay's masterpiece, but one of the greatest musical pleasures of all time. The flow of the album goes perfectly, but the atmosphere it creates is just extrodinary. Sure there's the epic singles like The Scientist and In My Place, but the rest of the album shines too. Politik is the angriness and gritty opener. The legendary closer Amsterdam may have well been a single, as it is easily more advanced and tearjerking imo. None of these songs should be removed. Like X&Y and OK Computer (my two other favourite albums), every song plays a part.

Top 3 songs? :)
Best: AHFOD (better than MX as an album) Birds AOAL Worst: Army Of One XMTS Miracles

Radiohead
I started with the classic Ok Computer (10/10 3rd favourite album of all time) Then advanced to the atmospheric Kid A (10/10 4th favourite album of all time) After that I rocked on to The Bends (9.5/10 7th favourite album of all time) And listened to jazzy Amnesiac (8/10) Hailed to Hail To The Thief, kind of (7/10) Bounced through The King Of Limbs (8.5/10) Witnessed the rainbow of In Rainbows (9.5/10 14th favourite album of all time) Then went back to good ol' Pablo Honey (8/10) Then the B Sides: Go listen to Talk Show Host, Palo Alto, Melatonin, True Love Waits, Polythene pts 1&2 plus Punchdrunk Lovesick Singalong and Lozenge Of Love. Then you'll adore Radiohead (like me:D)
