Hi there! Welcome to Coldplaying! Have a great time here! Your not alone, Ive never been to a concert either :D But as my signature says....
  5. ^ Great list ! :D
  6. ^ Yeah it was annoying how it was all cut off before (I think?) :P Interestingly enough @AMDB9 is the only one that has a perfect circle...
  7. ^ Okay what's with everyone's avatars, they look all funny now
  8. After I found out Treefingers was from Radiohead I decide to listen to the full Kid A Album. Just blown away.
  9. For me, especially at the beginning, the association is sort of a purple melancholic light at the beginning especially, but this continues on throughout the song. Most Tove Lo songs I have that associated with them. Around 1 or 2 when the sun is high in the sky is when I find it best to listen to. (Although that's just what I think at the moment, I haven't had a day where the sun was high in the sky since the album came out (obviously) so I'll just have to wait and see :P)
  10. ^ Well guess what. Mylo is winning. :D  Mylo Xyloto - 30 Fix You - 20 Amazing Day - 10
  11. Currently first time listening to Kid A - Radiohead.... :D :D :D

    And you belong with me....
  13. Interestingly enough Twisted Logic is the perfect lead-up to the closer in my personal opinion... it's the best job that Coldplay ever did to lead up to a closer, besides DLIBYH. But yes everyone has their own opinions :D Also I don't really feel like that with Til Kingdom Come, I think the melody is nice and relaxing and original (although Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground is essentially a rehash of Til Kingdom Come so maybe that's why you feel like you've heard it one to many times) but for me the instrumentation is very relaxing and suits the song perfectly. However one song where I feel like I've heard the melody before is Amazing Day. I really adore the song and is the second best of AHFOD IMO but it just sounds so unoriginal and a little bland to be honest... the melody throughout the song I feel like I've heard so so many times before and it's a little bland up until the "ohhhh ohhhhh ohhhhh ohhhhh" part (that part and after that is so freaking powerful, and that's why it's the runner up to my favorite song IMO).
  14. I've checked out Opalescent and it's such an electronic masterpiece! Jon Hopkins knows his stuff. I'll check out Immunity now :) I'll definetely check out Treefingers, sounds interesting :D
  15. IMO Midnight is warm in a way but it's also kind of cool. Don't know how to explain it but it has the blue cool feel that all the other GS songs have to me anyways. I love ambient music as well, probably not one track from that genre I dislike. I love those really long ambient mixes on YouTube, I have no idea how they do it but it just flows so well even though it changes so much... they take their time with it. I find it really, really enjoyable. I'd have loved if GS was more ambient album, unfortunately that really only happened with Midnight and O :( But they did just such a wonderful job on Midnight,
  16. Whatever you feel the need to do, do it! I'd always love improvements if you have ideas as for how to do them.
  17. ^ I agree about your second part. As for the warm tone, yeah, the organic instruments (and soft feels help a lot too.) Electronics sound more cold and distant I find wheras real instruments sound more warm and full, which I really love. If electronics are done right, for example, ambient, you can get a great "cool" vibe, while having a distant, yet full in a way, sound. (Ambient, again, is a great example of this IMO.)
  18. Musical tastes story ahead! :D In no particular order yet!: U2 Radiohead Nirvana The Fray A Silent Film (this needs to be further recognized XD) Metallica Linkin Park Green Day Paramore Avril Lavigne Rihanna (not as good as the ones above me, but perhaps my fav all-pop artist, so I'll give her a mention) These artists i think I'll like but have only heard a couple from: Train Jon Hopkins Kings of Leon 3 Doors Down Oasis Ed Sheeran Queen Blink-182 Foo Fighters Also, my musical tastes have changed radically in the past half a year. Around April, when I was starting to really really get into music (at this point I was still just Viva la Vida fan... not really, since I didn't pay that much attention to it and didn't come back to it until around mid July :P) you'd have found me really loving poppier songs for some reason. Didn't pay too much attention to rock, however subconsciously I knew hte mainstream was turning into trash, although I was trying to embrace it. However I was still into the poppier scene like that, aminly paying attention to Say Something (), Unconditionally, Still Into You, Try and the like, Which were some of the first songs I got. As I got more and more and when I really really got into Coldplay's discography I started to pay a lot more attention to rockier music, and my pop taste wsa fading. I started to agree with the others on here and really bring it to the front of my mind that the mainstream right now is full of pop that's done completely wrong (I still like pop to an extent). I started listening to my most-loved rock artists I liked back in the day before 2009's pop rock scene showed up (then I started to get into that and forget about rock, then I got into pop a lot after that I admit). If you're wondering about Jon Hopkins, I didn't even know ambient was a genre until a few monthjs ago when I saw this ambient mix. Absolutely loved it, listened to some more and decided that ambient was one of my favorite genres along with pop rock, and alt rock. I bet I'll never come along an ambient track that I don't like. The genre's just so interesting, experimental, and soooooooooooo much better than the mainstream of today. You should really check it out if you haven't, it's electronic's done just right. :) Hopefully you now know where my musical tastes Come from :D
  19. ^ It's interesting how Coldplay's style moved from the dissonant chord progression style all the way to making these catchy songs like these. It's cool because it's a band trying new things with their sound overall with the chord progressions. They were really good at the dissonant chord progression style and I'd almost wish they'd return to it one day yet they're also doing good with their current style. it kind of gives Parachutes it's own warmish tone to it... interesting. I find that Coldplay did this a lot in their earlier days, and it's also interesting how the warm atmosphere dissappeared along with that style... I really like Coldplay's earlier works like these, for it's warm atmosphere. :)
