I'm not sure about Stargate producing it... As for the title being Tomorrow, that would be a great title for the song... much better than "Amazing Day". "Tomorrow" has a lot of mystery to it, and it would make the listener wonder what it's about. It would certainly make me wonder what it's about. It's a nice, short title that has the depth and mystery of Coldplay's previous titles in their previous tracks, even though it's not in the song itself. I think Tomorrow would work best with a bit of a less-uplifting and sweet theme like this but this is by far the best alternate title to "Amazing Day" I've heard thus far.
2. Tweet from yesterday my time, so this is very accurate and not outdated: In response to a question posted by someone who was wondering if Rik's been working on AHFOD, Rik replied that yes, he has been in the studio w/CP and it's been a busy week, so they're clearly not done yet. Although they're saying it's almost finished, so I guess they were still putting some more finishing touches on the album (and are probably continuing to do so), and it's seeming like they're doing a great job and keeping a great pace, so hopefully we'll get it soon. :)
3. Really? When did you leave last time? I only joined in September of this year so I must have missed it :P
4. For some reason when I read your comment I thought of ASFOS. :D 65407

6. No problem! :) I also keep a tally myself as well as the game goes on. Partially because I want to keep current tabs on the status of Viva.

8. Just a note... didn't Viva only get voted for 5 times? you, beastwars, ov3la, The Adversary, and Danceteacher... I think beastwars voted twice come to think of it XD
9. Everyone start voting The Escapist to save Viva again! #saveviva I vote The Escapist
10. True, but some albums sounds more similar to each other than some others.
11. 65400 Yay!!!! :D I got a number on a hundred! I was just waiting for that moment :)

13. ^ Yep... the band will be long split up before we ever reach a million. :( 65394 < XXXX 65395 65396 just to get it lined up again. XD
14. 65392, also it's crazy. The one who made this thread said "A decade"... it'll probably take at least 15 years! 5 years just to get to 65000.. "still gottt such a looong wayyy to goooo"
15. Thanks! I honestly was having trouble coming up with one weakness.... it's a very minor weakness that hardly takes away from the song but I can agree that it is a weakness nonetheless... adding it. (MX/Hurts Like Heaven) +: The intro is absolutely beautiful. It's a great way to begin the album (and the song) and in my opinion is the richest and best intro of all Coldplay's album openers. They couldn't have done better for an album themed like this. The song following (Hurts like Heaven) is a great way to follow on, opens with a fast drumbeat, and goes on to make a very great-sounding song, with a big sound. It's also quite creative in my opinion, with a very interesting melody and the way that the song progresses is very nice. I really like the fade-out outro. You usually don't see fade-out used in this instance this effectively. I really like as the finishing touches and the final notes finish off the song, they slowly fade out into nothing, which in my opinion you don't see a lot in Coldplay's songs, or any song for that matter. -: Holy... it is produced quite a bit, there's quite a lot of tracks overlapping each other at some points during the track and I can understand how hard it must be to mix all of them to produce a great sound, and in my opinion they did their best, and it does sound really good but it is kind of overwhelming to say the least. :) Always in my Head
16. Everyone who has heard it is letting us know that all will become clear. I guess we'll just have to wait for it I guess, and it will all make sense when it does happen...
17. True, but it sounds so different than radio pop. It sounds so much better. It's not the real radio pop you hear on the radio nowadays, it's Coldplay's version. Two different things, and really it's hardly even pop.

20. I half agree that X&Y is a great album, but then I disagree that GS is uninspired... in my opinion it's every bit as deep and atmospheric as the other albums are. Now the music itself on the other hand is a bit on the bland side (but imo that doesn't take away from me liking it) but if you'd listen to GS as a whole, if you listen closely enough the depth and atmosphere is still there. At least for me it is. I'm not forcing you to listen to it or anything. I'm just giving my input on it. BTW, if you think that Coldplay's last two albums are "pop" you are sadly mistaken. Coldplay's "pop" is so different than the depthless, atmosphericless "music" (there's a much better word for it, but I won't say it here) on the radio nowadays that you can't even call it pop. Even PoC, arguably Coldplay's most poppiest song, does resemble the stuff on the radio nowadays a little bit but at least it has atmosphere. It has emotion. It has depth. Which makes it better. Coldplay's tried pop, and they made it sound absolutely brilliant IMO. They took the normal pop you hear on the radio nowadays, and added a real story to it. They added more depth and atmosphere to it to make it sound like something you'd want to listen to more than once IMO. They wanted to keep trying new things, and I guess for them their next extraordinary work would be turning the boring uninspired pop you usually hear on the radio nowadays into a brilliant recreation of it with depth and atmosphere. Coldplay's pop, is in my opinion, pop done right. It was a massive success in my opinion. Now I'm talking about MX more so than Ghost Stories here, but I guess their plan had two parts to it: to make the "happy" improved pop sounds. and then the "sad", low-tone, improved pop sounds as well. Unfortunately in some places they had to rely on an electronic drumbeat, and it worked better with MX than with GS in my opinion, but it still worked out fairly well... in my opinion GS was part two of their plan to make pop sound brilliant. I don't think it's uninspired at all... you just have to dig deeper. Now I understand you do prefer Coldplay's old music over Newplay, and that's fine. I'm just saying, that I don't exactly think that GS is uninspired. Because, well, it definetely isn't. :P Just like with @The Adversary, I do half agree that they did do something with GS and some of their songs (Midnight in my opinion is very creative and different, it's one of the better tracks in GS IMO and if more of GS was like that (the "experimental" version of GS) GS would have been an even better album. As for X&Y, I'd argue that they tried some stuff with Til Kingdom Come. They tried some stuff with Fix You. They were certainly very creative with Square One. Look, if you take each and every one of X&Y's songs they sound a whole lot different than a lot of other songs. They have such a different structure to them than normal songs, and the atmosphere is much different than most other songs. Just like every other album, X&Y has it's own depth and atmosphere to it. It's songs are very creative, because the sounds in those songs are very different than what you might be used to hearing. In my opinion they were quite experimental with the sounds they did decide to settle on for X&Y. They tried all sorts of different things... the structure in each song is quite different than another and the album as a whole has a lot of creativity and variety in it to keep the listener interested. They didn't just stick with one beat, or one structure of a song and decided to go with it. It changes all the time in that album... which I really like about X&Y, and really every other album. It really has it's own feeling to it and is IMO quite an underrated Coldplay album. It doesn't just try to be "A Coldplay Album", there's a lot of creativity, depth and atmosphere in both the music itself, and the artwork. (Yes, even the artwork. In my profile pic, do you notice that? The seemingly random collection of squares? That's actually based off Baudot code. Each vertical line that goes down represents a letter and has it's own collection of square in it. Once I found this out, I actually went to an X&Y Cover Art Generator, typed a meaningful short phrase in, took a screenie of it, and put it as my avatar. By the way, if anyone can translate my avatar into the original phrase I put in the cover art generator, you will be honored... I guess! :D) The cover art for each song is actually the name of the song in the code that was based off Baudot code. The cover art for X&Y is actually X&Y displayed in the form of the code that was inspired by Baudot code. It was very original IMO and that's why X&Y's album art is my second favorite, next to MX. :)
