1. Same here. Moving to Mars is a very great song but I think they left it off since it's quite low tone; I think they wanted to make MX as upbeat as possible. Again, now I'm not saying that it's a bad song, I'm just trying to make sense of why they didn't put it on there. But IMO if Paradise got left off the album for Moving to Mars that would leave me in major dissapointment, along with many other fans. In the universe where Paradise did get left off the album I would be completely puzzled as to how they didn't put it on the album. Paradise is my favorite song and for me very few other songs come close, like Viva La Vida comes close, but that's about it. PoC I feel also fits in with the theme of MX, although I don't really regard it as part of their best work, because it reminds me of so many mainstream songs nowadays. But it still has that Coldplay touch and the MX feel to it, which in my opinion makes it better than most mainstream songs nowadays. It'd be great to see Christmas Lights make it and maybe even replace PoC, but as for Moving to Mars I simply don't know where it would fit. And as for these great songs being left off of the albums, I agree. Moving To Mars... I'm not sure of, just because it doesn't feel the same as the rest of the album, and it's a bit too low-tone for the album. Christmas Light would be a great addition to MX, probably falling somewhere later on in the album. Atlas would have been such an amazing part of GS if it ever got on there. Even though Miracles is a great song, I think it could be a bit too bright for the feel of GS. All Your Friends should have made it into the default version, it's such a great song, and Ghost Story is good but I don't think it'd be great enough to make GS. Now there's two songs by Coldplay you may have not heard of: "Wish I Was Here" and "Gone But Not". "Wish I Was Here" is absolutely beautiful. I think it'd fit into GS really well. However, the problem with that is that most of the lyrics are sang by Cat Power, and Chris Martin doesn't even say a word, except he does a bit of falsetto at the end. Gone But Not would be a {B]great addition to AHFOD. As we've seen, so far the lyrics of AHFOD have a bit of a darker theme to them. The lyrics sound like they'd fit onto a somewhat-uplifting tune, though. A perfect example I'd like to see those new lyrics on Chris' pants fit onto would be a song like Gone But Not. It sounds an uplifting tune, but if you listen to the lyrics, they're actually quite sad. I think that the lyrics we recently found out on Chris' pants could fit perfectly with an uplifting tune. I'd love to see Gone But Not somewhere on AHFOD... unfortunately it probably won't happen. I'd love to see a new trend on putting any other great songs Coldplay comes up with and actually putting them on the album, instead of leaving them mostly unknown. :P I have A Head Full Of Dreams... and one of them is to go to a Coldplay Concert :laugh4:
2. 65219 (this a great way to boost your post count lol.)
3. Hopefully these lyrics make it to the album. Because if these are from the same song, they seem to be some of Chris' best. I agree with both you two. Those lyrics do make a bit more sense, if the words were changed up a bit then it'd definetely remind me of X&Y, one of the high points where the lyrics were somewhat mysterious and they were quite amazing TBH. Looks like he's going to be making great lyrics again! :D I love those lyrics... part of what makes X&Y (the song) great... I have A Head Full Of Dreams... and one of them is to go to a Coldplay Concert :laugh4:
4. Well I guess What If getting eliminated is okay if it's to save Gravity. Would prefer White Shadows though...
5. Well Gravitys a top three song to, don't know why any one don't want to vote for White Shadows... It's a great song but less than the others on this list...
6. ^ Just added that, thanks :) See? There's so many examples even I'm forgetting them all!
7. Oh no... anyone who's reading this and hasn't voted yet please save What If!
8. ^ No problem :) Now the real party starts. I vote for White Shadows. I have A Head Full Of Dreams... and one of them is to go to a Coldplay Concert :laugh4:
9. A-ha! That explains Chris' thing with birds! In "Fly On" : "Maybe one day I'll fly next to you" "Fly on, ride through" "Maybe one day I can fly with you" These lyrics in turn seem to slightly remind of "No More Keeping My Feet On The Ground". And as you said, he said himself he wanted to be able to fly. There are numerous references in Coldplay's songs hinting of this, including: "No More Keeping My Feet On The Ground (song)" The lyrics in We Never Change: "I wanna fly and never come down" The lyrics in LITII: "gravity release me, and don't ever hold me down, now my feet won't touch the ground" The lyrics in Strawberry Swing: "cold cold water, bring me round, now my feet won't touch the ground" (not exactly flying but still no feet touching the ground). The lyrics in Paradise: "In the night, the stormy night, away she flies." Mentions of birds in "Speed of Sound", and there's a song named "Up With The Birds". Also, even in Fly On as I said he mentions birds, referring back to "Up With The Birds". many, many more examples, too long to list here. He seems to have a thing for wanting to be able to fly... I have A Head Full Of Dreams... and one of them is to go to a Coldplay Concert :laugh4:
10. It was nice singing with you too :D Wanna do Yellow?
11. Lets talk
12. Nothing's really making any sense at all, let's talk
13. I agree with both of you! They really did well on the lyrics of X&Y songs... which is a part of the reason it's my second fav album. :P In the future where will I be? I have A Head Full Of Dreams... and one of them is to go to a Coldplay concert :laugh4:
14. I've also tried doing the same thing... unfortunately it isn't the best view because the stupid camera's moving up so quickly.... I can see why it looks like "thunder" (it looks that way to me, too). The blurring is causing the text to stack over itself, and since the overlap is faint, instead of looking indecipherable it looks like "thunder". If you look past the blurring, to me it seems to resemble "chamber" a bit more. For me "It's a fools gold chamber" makes much more sense... "It's a fools gold thunder" doesn't sound right lol
15. Same here... I really hope A View From The Top is somehow revisted someday... what a gem :bigcry:
16. I really hope your right...
17. If they were to actually give us a sample of the song, if it actually sounds amazing, they'd better make sure somewhere down the line they actually release it, because there's some gems I've heard from Coldplay that are unreleased, and the only recordings of them are terrible quality...
18. I'd say we could add "A Ghost" to that list... :P Also, I'd say Gravity's pretty safe:

Swallowed in the Sea 7

Gravity 3

Fix You 2

What If 1

19. arushofjacktothehead, your quote's in red. ColdplayingfromKansas, your quote's in blue. getithom, your quote's in gold. I have A Head Full Of Dreams... and one of them is to go to a Coldplay Concert :laugh4:
20. Thanks everyone who voted for SITS! It's a great song but I'm glad to eliminate it if it's to save any of What If, Fix You, or Gravity :P
21. rblack721, your quote's in red. gjohnson, your quote's in blue. I ran away, your quote's in gold. I have A Head Full Of Dreams... and one of them is to go to a Coldplay Concert :laugh4:
22. Wow, just woke up... how'd you get such a high-quality picture? I completely agree. These lyrics are actually amazing for once. And since it has a darker theme to it, many, and I mean many people will iove that, since Coldplay seems to be good at those sorts of themes :P And I guess Coldplay knew what they were doing at the iHeartRadio festival. I'm not sure if they gave us those clues on purpose and if Chris put on those new pants just to see if at any point any camera would get close enough to capture those lyrics at high-quality so us fans could decipher them... Maybe they were never planning to play a new song then. Maybe they just gave us all those hints so us fans could find out more and more with each passing day... This might be a crazy theory, but maybe Chris's odd excitement and "off-ness" came from the excitment of them giving us subtle hints like the lyrics on his pants. He could have planned to give us more details, piece by piece, all along so we could keep uncovering more of AHFOD. I don't know. :P And, if I was in Chris' shoes, I'd definetely be oddly excited to give them subtle hints :P I do agree, color is very easily a form of non-verbal communication. Now, I know we all love doing the color-song theory and everything. And one of the song titles could very well include red or orange. But the problem with the "color song theory" is that it was broken in GS. Midnight unfortunately doesn't count it as a "color", you'd have to say "midnight blue" if that was the case... But you could still be right, I'm just sayin'. :) I have A Head Full Of Dreams... and one of them is to go to a Coldplay Concert :laugh4:
23. For Chris sweating, same here lol! I wanted to give him a tissue right away! And him going offbeat, definetely could be to jumping around everywhere. I agree with you. But I definetely agree with something being off. That could be why they didn't drop the new single. They came out in all their new attire. That could be for two reasons, one that could have been just a tease for us and a preview of what to come when they do sing, or on the darker side, something could have went wrong backstage and that's why they didn't play the new single. It's also weird how they said there'd be a "special guest" that never did end up showing... And as for ASFOS, he seemed to love it! I enjoyed it as much as he did. :D But seriously... something seemed a little off...
