  2. nothing, i was at work. boring day indeed. i do have a boyfriend but he lives in another country. all those thing on tv made me sick because they all make me think of how much happier i could be if i was with him. anyway nice to see you back ari.
  8. why was she angry? thats weird indeed.
  9. yeah i know. i still dont see it as a positive thing because thats when colonialism started, transatlantic slave trade and all that, innit? lots of people only see the fact that their country used to be very powerful. well thats what i realised when i lived in england anyway. i'm not saying countries dont take benefit of others anymore. but i wouldnt say what happens today is worse either.
  10. i dont understand how people can see those oversea 'adventures' as a positive part of a country's history. they surley brought more harm than good. i'm not particularly refering to portugal though. i'm with julia on this one. the 60ies, oh yes! :nice:
  11. the best thing that happened to me was that i met the most wonderful people when i lived abroad this summer.
  12. hes an alcoholic and a drug addict and he's been taking antidepressants for years now so i dont think the fact that rudebox wasnt successful made him addicted to pills. he had probably been addicted to them a long time before the album was released.
  13. aye! i was quite suprised though, didnt think he was still on drugs. but then again he's a drug addict and he'll probably never be completely cured.
  14. Williams enters rehab on birthday It is not the first time that the British star has entered rehab, having become addicted to drugs and alcohol after he left Take That in 1995. He said later that his condition was so bad that Sir Elton John "kidnapped" him and made him seek treatment. In September, his Asian tour was called off because of stress and exhaustion. He was to have visited Shanghai, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Mumbai (Bombay) and Bangalore in November. A spokesman said at the time that to have performed in those cities after honouring European and South American commitments would have been "asking too much". 'Blow up' In a TV interview broadcast in 2004, Williams, who lives in Los Angeles, said he only gave up drugs and alcohol because they made him too fat. He said his addiction made him "blow up to the size of a small aircraft hangar". Williams' former Take That bandmates are currently enjoying a hugely successful comeback, including a number one single and album, and a sell-out UK tour. Their song Patience is expected to win best single at the Brit Awards ceremony, which takes place in London on Wednesday. But this is the first time in several years that Williams has failed to be in the running for the best male or best album categories.
  15. none, they're all nasty.
  16. growning up in a city is worse if you're poor. those kids have so little opportunities and perspectives.
  17. they have a beak so they probably have no teeth.
  18. i live in a small village and them things didnt really happen over her when i was a kid. then i heard about two years ago that a kid was stabbed with a knife in my village. that was shoking indeed. maybe its a bit naive to think them things dont happen over here but i seriously thought that place was pretty safe. i'm still not particularly worried. you hear a lot in the press at the moment but every little incident gets highlighted. i hate the way the swiss press is dealing with it. its certainly not only foreign young people who are violent but that a different issue. they tend to panic way too much but it definitely got worse since i was a teenager. i still think switzerland is a safe place. no place is completely safe but it was a lot worse in england. and england's a pretty safe place too i suppose.

i feel the same. but thats my personal view and i dont wanna judge people who have different opnion on this. but i personally could never do it. unless if i was raped maybe, not even sure about that. haha! i'm 21 too and i'm not planing to have a child any time soon. but its something everyone (especially women apparently) should think about because theres a low chance to get pregnant if you have sex.
  20. yes. what time do you have to get up in the morning?
  21. dont have channel four here. dont have any english channel apart from bbc prime. btw just saw that you're a mod now. congrats!
  22. Petit Prince replied to tilolas's topic in The Lounge
i pretty much agree with you. i mean theres still a very low cance to get pregnant if you use contraception. i personally still would feel guilty if i aborted a child, i dont i'd have the right to decide about my unborn child's life. and also how can we know when the foetus has develped enough to be a living creature? but i think that everyone has to make their own decision, so i dont think there should be a law which forbids abortion.
  23. Petit Prince replied to tilolas's topic in The Lounge
i see your point. apparently the woman will have to make the final decision as its her who'll be looking for the kid, especially if she isnt in a relationship with the child's father. however its an issue for the man as well because he's the father after all. if he wants the child to be born this can be very disturbing for him too. i know a woman who aborted a child when she was 23. she was at uni and becoming a mother wasnt quite what she wanted at the time, she also didnt have any support from her unborn kid's father at all. shes in her forties now and she's still suffering from that now. so some people do see things different once they get older. i'm not saying abortion should be forbidden but i do think some people dont really know what it means for someone to abort a child. this can seriously be psychologically disturbing for the child's mother.
  24. Petit Prince replied to tilolas's topic in The Lounge
i'm a bit undecided to be honest. somehow i dont think abortion should be forbidden by law. but i personally could never do it, i dont think i could live with it, i'd feel feel guilty. however, i dont wanna judge people who see this differently. i know there can be reasons why you would do it, i'm not sure if i could keep the child if i was raped either.
  25. the family i was supposed to work for was exactly like that. the kids were in their room crying while their mum was downstairs watching telly. she couldnt hear them and if she could she couldnt be arsed to go and comfort them. them people make me sick!
