i heard the opposite though. somebody told me that people there are really depressed because its very cold and dark. they're also supposed to have a huge problem with drinking. i have no idea if that person was right.

i do it because i know some of my relatives are gonna be really happy when they receive them. my grandparents have kept every single one me and my brother wrote for example.

iceland's nice indeed. a friend of mine spent her holidays there and showed me loads of pics. its a place id like to visit too, even though there's some others i'd visit first. if only i had the money...

i do send christmas cards. i normally send them to my relatives. i dont really send christmas cards to my friends. however i might write some for the ones who live abroad. and i usually also attach a christmas card when i send someone a present. its traditional to send them in switzerland.

people are discriminated because of the colour of their skin every day and have less chances to get a job and blair's talking about 'continue celbrating diversity'? :thinking: muslims are a targeted group in britain no matter if they do or dont wear a veil, so its a pretty ridiculous statement in my opinion. i have to disagree with you about teenage pregancy though. i think that's an issue for non-british people as well. i cant judge the situation in the whole country but it definitely was one where i lived.

yeah. but i was more talking about the girls, they were wearing so little even though it was winter and damn cold.

it more sounds like its the whole east of england. the worst about it was how people dressed, especially when they were going out at night. i understand that people do have problems with their weight but they just dont seem to care about it.

cant say i'm surprised. i was really surprised when i was in north yorkshire that people there have a lot more problems with their weight than in other parts of the country i've been. there isnt such a difference between different areas in switzerland.
