Crime in England compared to America
I agree, most bad areas aren't as bad as people make out. I lived in two very rough areas when I was a student and I never really got into trouble. I think you're generally gonna be ok if you aren't involved in any kind of crime/ gangs. There was always a lot of police presence which was scary at first but you get used to it after a while. I can't say I was scared walking down the street and I wouldn't tell people to avoid those areas either but I'm sure many people who have never been there would.

I'm glad I'm not a girl
^ I completely agree. The double-standard is ridiculous. I've recently met guy I kind of like and one of my male friends is basically trying to stop me from getting to know him (even though he doesn't know him) because he's obviously just after sex and he's convinced I'm gonna fall in love with him. So annoying.

I'm glad I'm not a girl
I'm the same! I hated being a teenager. I was trying to hard to fit in because you'd get bullied at my school otherwise. I've changed a lot since I moved away and this also goes for the way I dress.

I'm glad I'm not a girl
I'm only in my twenties but I think that's true. I kind of stopped caring but it also gets much easier because the people I know don't seem to care that much anymore. When I was at school, some girls got bullied because they didn't dress girly enough, other because they were 'overdressed'.

University
One of my friends did zoology at Liverpool and loved it! I think Newcastle would be a nice place to study too but I don't know anything about the course.

Women's doctors: Do you care about the sex of your doctor?
True! I'd still feel more comfortable if the doctor was female though.

College Stuff
As long as your predicted grades are good enough for a particular university, I'd still apply. One of my friends missed her offer for Liverpool because she got a C instead of a B but she still got onto the course because they felt that she was very passionate about her subject. Liverpool's a great city to live and study. I enjoyed my time at UCL but I don't think London's the best place to live when you're a student. Most students in Liverpool live in the same area, which isn't really the case in London. You often go to parties in an area you've never been too and no one will have a clue how to get home. I've been waiting for night buses so many times because I was miles away from where I lived and I couldn't afford a taxi. It's obviously easier if you go out in central London but I couldn't really afford to spend £7 on a drink.

every crush is like a white water rapid
Maybe you could organise something and invite a few people from your school so you don't have to ask him out straight away. It might be easier to find out how he feels about you if you meet him outside school. Also you could add him on Facebook (if you haven't already) if you don't wanna ask anyone for his number.

UK cities get fast broadband cash
UK cities? Liverpool doesn't get it and neither does Glasgow. What on earth were they thinking?

The Womanly Thread
Same here! I can only really wear fitted clothes. Wearing a waist belt helps though and loose top can look alright with a high waisted skirt. Thanks! I sometimes went there when I lived in Liverpool. I've never ordered anything online though, I need to check out their website!

The Womanly Thread
It's really awkward to find, I wish I could just go to normal shops but nothing will fit me. I don't get why there so few places that sell bras with smaller backsides. I'm not saying my size is common but loads of skinny girls will be a 28 or a 30 backsize but many of them probably wear a 32 because hardly anyone sells smaller sizes. It's also quite difficult to find clothes, anything that isn't tailored will make me look fat.

The Womanly Thread
No worries! Haha I hate them! I'm a 28G so I can only really go to specialist shops. Some places do DD+ cups but they'll never go down to a 28.

I feel your pain! You might wanna try brastop if you haven't already. http://www.brastop.com/default.aspx It all depends on your backsize. It's a general misconception that your boobs have to be pretty big if you're a C or a D cup. That's not necessarily the case, the cup of a 28C is the same size as that of a 32A! The problem is that places like M&S or La Senza generally won't tell you if you've got a smaller backsize because they don't sell you any smaller bras. Check out this link, it's very helpful!

What made you happy today?
I got my laptop charger replaced for free and they didn't even try to argue with me or anything. I was convinced that I'd have to pay £40 for it. Also the cute ginger cat that followed me on my way home.
