It depends. It would certainly affect my opinion of them if they idolised Hitler. It however wouldn't really bother me if they looked up to a singer I don't like.

good luck! a friend of mine is in a similar position thats why i was asking. she in a relationship with a guy who came to britain on a student visa that will be running out in a year's time. it must be so hard.:embarassed: i'm gonna finnish uni next year. its such a scary thought. i have no idea what i want. well actually i do. i dont wanna leave uni EVER. :(

can you not get married before she moves to switzerland? i imagine this would make things a lot easier.

that's good to hear! yeah i'm still in england. i decided to go to uni there... mainly because of my ex-boyfriend. we broke up in my first year of uni and things weren't quite as easy as i thought they would be. i don't regret my decision even though i do miss my family and friends from back home. i met some great friends here and i'm in a new relationship now.

I used to say that I didn't understand it and the teacher usually ended up explaining the whole thing again!

I've got Sky+ so I'll definitely record it. I don't think you can listen to Radio 1 outside the UK. It certainly doesn't work online. It would probably work if I used a British IP but I don't know how to do that.

I'm so jealous! I probably won't even be able to watch it on TV. :( I have to go to Germany on a work trip next week. I don't think any of the channels there will show it and I won't be able to go to the cinema either.

Scouse isn't that hard to understand. English isn't my first language either but I was ok after a few days. The same goes for Geordie really.

Swiss people work more hours a week and they don't get more holidays. Someone hasn't done their research!

I wouldn't know that's why I'm asking. Someone who is from that part of England actually advised us to stay there when we went to Silverstone. We ended up not staying there because we couldn't find anywhere reasonably cheap.

It's ridiculously expensive in the UK (not Scotland though) but everyone can get a loan so you don't have to worry about it while you're at uni.

I used to have a neighbour like that. An elderly lady as well. She was quite friendly though and used to give birthday presents to all the kids in our street (very strange I know).

I think you should try to get some work experience. It will improve your CV even if it's just a few hours a month. Voluntary work might be a good option as it's generally easier to get and you probably won't have to do as many hours.
