  1. yeah coldplay introduced me (and probably a whole new generation) to kraftwerk haha, i was listening to computer world while i browsed this thread
  2. i love when the organ sound kicks in during the studio version
  3. dontpanic_ replied to s_artin's topic in Past Releases
    coldplay's take on kid a?
  4. yeah, should have been more epic. chris originally said, probably half-jokingly, that he wanted the video to be shot on the top of a mountain with the band playing.
  5. today, see you soon studio version
  6. yeah i'd love to see thom in the studio recording any of the random gibberish he added to any given song on kid a. does anyone have any info on the new ablum?
  7. i read somewhere that they wanted to do an r.e.m.-esque song and that this was supposed to be a pseudo tribute to losing my religion.
  8. i always dismissed the free ipod pyramid scheme as a scam until one of my friends in my dorm recieved a free ipod, free ipod nano, and a free psp. apparently it works by you filling out an offer, cancelling it, and getting a couple friends to do the same. i thought it was bullshit too until i saw someone actually get $600 worth of electronics doing it. here's my referall link: http://ipodnanos.freepay.com/?r=24595272[/url]
  9. why the hell do they always break out into song and dance in indian cinema?
  10. any gustavo santaolalla fans? also, i like the gypsy kings and if someone is better acquainted with the genre they should pm me with an artist that i'd enjoy based on my preference for kicking flamenco guitar infused world music
  11. i think they'll take the critical consensus to heart and record an album thats unpolished and underproduced, which would please me and others i'm sure
  12. i didn't like the studio version of square one, although it sounded mega live. personally, i agree w/ sienna, they should use white shadows becuase it sounds 70s esque even if it could have been penned by u2. or they should do a better take on one of their old b-sides (with chris not mumbling) and release it as a single to throw off acusations that all their music sounds the same
  13. i used to have rhapsody too, and i could have sworn they had a studio version of moses
  14. google earth is incredible, but somewhat unsettling
  15. dontpanic_ replied to Sam's topic in Coldplay
(chris, on mtv) comparing x&y to a rush of blood to the head is like comparing a whale to a tin of biscuits, you can do it, but it's not tangible
  16. could someone send it to me? [email protected] i have other b-sides if anyone wants them (crests of waves, where is my boy, brothers and sisters, easy to please, careful where you stand)
  17. Crests of Waves Moses One I Love Careful Where You Stand For You
  18. there's always a lot of talk in this forum of ppl at the radiohead forum trashing coldplay. what radiohead forum is everyone referring to? i'd like to find it becuase i've heard that they have a lot of unreleased material that never made it's way to a studio release that i'd like to get ahold of.
  19. could someone post it or send it to me? thanks [email protected]
  20. Does anyone know why bands release bonus tracks in Japan, as opposed to Europe or the United States? The Strokes have done the same.

It's possible that this was added before - this quote was from Chris during an interview on MTV. Comparing X&Y to ARBTTH or Parachutes is like comparing a tin of biscuits to a whale - you can do it, but it's not (pause) tangible.
  22. Do you see yourself now? That was absolutely hilarious. But seriously, Elijah being gay? I'll say this, there was much homoeroticism to be seen in the LOTR trilogy between Frodo and Sam, but anyone doubting Elijah's masculinity needs to see Sin City. Elijah plays a serial killer who eats prostitutes and displays their heads as trophies.
  23. Why use Norton in the first place? There are better alternatives that are free. For virus protection, use AVG. Download Zonealarm for a firewall. And Ad-aware is a great spyware removal tool. I used to use Norton, but with expensive new editions and Liveupdate renewal fees, they just can't compete with the absolutely free versions of better commercial alternatives.

Did Coldplay ever record a studio version of Gravity? All I've heard is the live one.
