Yeah, Hong Kong have been running with ID cards for years, so I don't see it as a huge deal.

No one wants to be taken for a ride, but there's not a whole lot anyone can do about it at the minute. The theory is too deep rooted in society. Many take it as fact (it's certainly been drummed into my head most of my life). With global government backing as well as media spin, any doubters will just be dismissed, although the channel4 programme may have forced people to challenge the views they have always had/been told. For me, it seems like one of those situations where i'm not sure who to believe. Sadly, corrupt scientists are just part of the world we live in, (like those ones that try to sell us the latest shampoo :rolleyes:)

I must say, after watching this on telly a few days ago, i am questioning what i previously believed. I'm no expert, so i don't know if they have distorted facts or if it's all or partly true. However one thing the program didn't sway me on is; reducing my carbon footprint anyway. Me changing the way i, myself, live will not be doing anything to keep poor people poor.

It's not much of a choice then.

Well the FIA claim that F1 has been carbon neutral since '97 (that includes all the petrol burnt by the cars as well as all the travel etc) It does seem like Honda are doing the 'trendy' thing of being 'environmentally aware'. Personally i think it just happened to be a convenient solution for them because they were unable to find a new title sponsor. Only time will tell whether they are serious or not.

This is a very good show. Missed it last week though, watching the champions league.

Loads of people who don't like Coldplay consider (or at least claim) their music to be depressing. Fans don't. There are bands that i don't particularly like and refer to them as depressing (e.g. my chemical romance). Each to their own.
