  1. And what order? I was thinking it would be cool to make a playlist that chronologically samples each era and includes various detours in b-sides but is about album length (or a bit longer). What would you pick for such a playlist?
  2. I hope it also has some random fun goodies with it. I don't know what, but I remember back in the day you used to get boxed sets with cool stuff in it. Given no one buys anything physically these days except for die hard fans, I feel we deserve something special LOL.
  3. Paradise because it reminds me of being an awkward, insecure little girl growing up in a small town and wanting to break out...and that's what I did.
  4. I wonder if he does this because he sweats a lot (as do I).
  5. This is the only Coldplay song I just can't listen to. And...shocker but I usually skip Fix You when it comes on. Even live I didn't love it. I feel blasphemous but it's the truth. However it was a perfect song when used in So You Think You Can Dance to honor a mothers journey with cancer. So I do appreciate it. Just can't listen to it much.
  6. I meant it to be a funny aside (although it did really happen). Now I know how to get the Coldplay community's attention!
  7. Heard Lost in the grocery store yesterday, same place that I heard In My Place right after I'd gone to the AHFOD concert in August. Love that grocery store. Then I heard Everglow and Every Teardrop is a Waterfall playing at my neighbor's house today and just had to tell her how much I loved her taste. I've had a good run of hearing random Coldplay songs at different places the last few months. It never fails to make me smile...and start dancing and mouthing the words like a crazy person no matter where I am.
  8. So I am going to make an unpopular statement, but like Chris, I also grew up loving EDM. I didn't go to raves in fields or warehouses or anything, and also was very straight laced in terms of never doing any drugs, but when I had chances I went to gay clubs as a straight woman with my good friend and danced to EDM in an environment where I wouldn't get bothered too much (except for the occasional random dude asking if we would have a threesome which we just politely declined and it was done with) and it was a euphoric experience. So a Coldplay dance album, if it was the style of EDM, would be pretty exciting for me. But I also really like SFoS, SJLT, and most EDM versions of Coldplay songs anyway. ;)
  9. The Heart's Invisible Furies by John Boyne. It is both cleverly humorous and heart breaking at the same time about a awkward and strange upbringing as an adopted child of eccentric people in 1950s Ireland and realizing you are gay in a country where religion rules everything. I'm only about 25% through but can tell heartbreaking violence is likely to occur in the coming pages...
  10. Love the randomness of this! Do you ever feel like if you met Chris you would like totally be the best of friends? The more I read about him, the more I'm like "OMG he's like the male, superrockstar version of me." The quirky humor, self deprecation, proud awkwardness, coping with anxiety, taste in music, and all. Either that or we would annoy each others because I know I can get on my own nerves.
  11. Which interview is this? It looks Viva era. I may have stumbled upon it one day, but I'm always looking for great interviews - I only started obsessively looking for them since August so there has to be more gems out there LOL.
  12. I think we are all thirsty for new songs or videos so whatever, touring or not, Live 2017 or not, we'd love to hear/see!
  13. Hmm, I got What If, and what it says is pretty perceptive about me actually LOL "While life isn't a bed of roses, you still think that there's hope that might drive all the sadness away. You aren't optimistic, but that doesn't prevent you from staking your chances. You're looking for your silver lining and with a stroke of luck, you might even find it"
  14. He's really not pointing at me or even in my direction btw but a girl can dream!!!!
  15. DC this past August. My husband surprised me with tix when more seats opened up. Who knew it would change my life?
  16. Happy birthday to a visionary artist! He's pointing at me in this pic.
  17. I'm hooked on this idea of a retro dream pop influenced album...but then I sometimes want them to do something edgy and rockish in a Coldplay way. I love how they crank up the rock style on God Put a Smile Upon your Face in some of their live shows.
  18. Lol I work out to Coldplay on my elliptical everyday. My favs are: God Put a Smile Upon your Face - MX live version in Paris Birds Every Teardrop is a Waterfall Life in Technicolor Hurts like Heaven Paradise Charlie Brown Rainy Day Daylight Don't Let it Break Your Heart Clocks I lost 30 lbs to this music so it works!!!!
  19. I've discovered Novo Amor and I keep hearing Damien Rice everywhere I go...
  20. So I really like Viva a lot but it ranks low for me. I think my order is AROBTTH Ghost Stories (which is shocking to me bc I did not love it much at all at first) Parachutes MX X&Y Viva AHFOD But I do love them all lol
  21. MX is definitely up there for me!
  22. I agree! I've loved them forever but only became a superfan since I went to the concert last August. I have been watching videos, reading articles and even just bought a biography from 15 years ago lol.
  23. I agree. I didn't love it a first, but the more I listened to it I was reminded of how I felt the last time I had a break up. I did want him to tell me he loved me even if it wasn't true bc I wasn't ready to accept it yet. Not healthy but totally human. I made him give me one last kiss too and we were both sobbing through it. Years later after I was firmly in love and married to someone else he kept coming back trying to get in contact with me. I am so much better off than I would've been with him. Dodged a bullet and ended up with bittersweet revenge. You have no way of knowing that at the time.
  24. This Death and all His Friends beer looks amazing. http://www.citypages.com/restaurants/after-a-city-pages-reader-called-them-the-coldplay-of-beers-summit-releases-the-literal-coldplay-of-beers/474482253 Also, I think people who use Coldplay as some sort of insult are totally unoriginal who have jumped on a bandwagon. You know how you know you are a bad writer with no talent? You can't think of anything better than Coldplay as an analogy for a putdown.
