^Yeah, it's not my style at all (alas, the reason she had to move to Toronto- Halifax is a rock and country sort of place :() but there's something to it that I really like in spite of the polish, even if I didn't know who she was. The really REALLY weird bit though, is that you know how singers will say this song was inspired by and ex that song was inspired by something in highschool? I pretty sure I know what at least one of the songs is about- an incident that happened. But....but you never know those things normally. It feels like reading someone's diary sort of... :embarassed: Anyway, listen to the acoustic vids anyone checking her out if you really want to know what she sounds like. I think it will always be long until the day Chris learns to chill out and still write well. Though it might help them in the future if they were less neurotic about it. I remember in Brian Eno's interview for Wired he seemed kind of stunned that it was taking so long and so painstaking for them.

It's funny, when I was looking at the web art yesterday and seeing 'viva la vida' written all over the place, especially on this one http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/gallery/data/512/look12.jpg I was thinking "famous old painters is ok, but that would make such a great album title. Especially with all the life and colour in the artwork. I wish they would use it." I GOT MY WISH!! :D Besides, it sounds nice- great sounds and rhythm to it if you stop thinking about associations for a second and just pay attention to how it feels on your tongue and in your ears. And really, it's old school Coldplay with a language twist. "Life is for Living" "We live in a beautiful world" "Long live life". How much more Coldplay-ish does it need to be? could it be?

It's also one of the evil numbers on Lost (4,8,15,16,23,42) most likely in homage to Douglas Adams. Speaking of who (no pun intended), in one of those weird timing things, I just came across this: :uneasy: :freak: :laugh3:

Well, the anticipated date is probably going to change several times unless something is announced soon, but in the meantime did I call it, or did I call it? :D I picked that date for a reason, which is why I'm inclined to believe the rumors, even if that's all they are. The time frame Prospekt gave would have the album being finished around the beginning of March. Chris always takes longer than he says he will, so add a couple of weeks to that for final mixing and mastering. Various Radiohead guys have several times recently that under the old system, which is probably still in place for Coldplay's release being as big a deal as it is, EMI always takes a minimum of 3 months for marketing and promotion from the time an album is completely finished to the release date. (Longer if they want to wait for a gap in the release schedule, but I think Coldplay is a dominant enough force in the market that they wouldn't bother) So, March 1st, plus about 2 weeks runover time, plus 3 months brings us to the week of July 16th.

A girl I went to school with just released an album. And better yet, she's winning really cool national songwriting awards for it. :shocked2: She always had an amazing voice, but WOW.
