Gah. Regretting the Dec 1 cutoff date already (as necessary as it may be). Tron Legacy soundtrack. Daft Punk. Oh. My. Goodness. :dead: The saddest part is that the really brilliant things about it are so subtle that I think most people are going to totally miss what they were doing with it. Most people are just complaining it's a soundtrack not a dance album. (Uh, duh?) Top ten best soundtracks I've ever heard. I am in awe. Look how Jonny's stretched the same way- they used a fish-eye lens to get a wider shot of the space. Fish-eye lenses make everything at the edges of the picture look bubbly. The album art for U2's Joshua Tree would be a classic example people here might be familiar with. Thanks for the scans.

Eugh. :( I get that a lot. Not fun. Take some painkillers- the more your muscles react to pain, the more they will spasm, and the more they spasm the more they hurt, and the more pain there is for them to react to. If you cut off the pain for awhile the cycle can be broken somewhat. Do you have anyone who can give you a back rub where all the muscle knots are? Heat and cold (one than the other) should help too. I take a really hot bath when my back is acting up like that. They're not as good as seeing a chiropractor or physical therapist, but it will help you survive until you can. :hug:

Well let's make it official. Too much pre-Christmas graduation stuff to deal with so very sorry, but I simply won't have time to deal with it before Christmas. So, All entries must be in by 8:00pm EST on Monday, December 27th. Also, I'm moving the official cutoff date to December 1st, 2010 to give late-breaking December releases a better chance next year. So eligible albums will have been released starting with Dec 1 2009 and ending with Nov 30th 2010.

Ooh. Left it in a pocket? :( The rice trick might work. It depends on which systems aren't working and why. If there's water left inside that's shorting some things it might work once it dries out. If there's water in the screen or corrosion though, your chances aren't so good.

I'm alive. ...Just for the record. :blank: :embarrassed: I was afraid this might happen, but it is the very end of my very last semester in school, hopefully ever, so I've been a little bit absent of late. It's the reason the deadline is after Christmas this year. List worries might interfere with school loose ends otherwise. So keep your lists coming, I'll keep a relatively constant eye on this spot and update or respond when I can. Otherwise I'm more or less exiled from the board until December 17th- at which point I'll put a big push on. Graphic banners and badges would be greatly appreciated. I don't think I have time before the 17th this time around. Also, 29 lists! :dance: Thanks so much for keeping it all going.

I just saw it. I liked it. It's half a movie. The half that is there is identical in overall quality to the last two; if you liked them it's great, and if you didn't it isn't. Personally I think it's the best the source material could possibly be. Just don't expect more than half of a story arc.

Yes. *nods* I think one of my favourite things about the ipod age is the way that all different genres and styles and everything can be all jumbled up together- the age of musical tribalism that started in the jazz years and probably hit its peak in the 70s or 80s is effectively over, even if some people still cling to it. The type of music you listen to can have everything to do with what you actually like rather than displaying your status and the type of crowd you want to be a part of.
