Hurts Like Heaven studio version... i loved it :)

I haven't had the time to read all of the posts but i think i'm one of the few who prefer the album version, i think the sheer energy of it is great, it gets me moving right away 8-) i actually think that the MX/HLH combo is their best album opener since Don't Panic

I guess you guys have been through this already but i've just heard the live version that's on the japan release and i'm pretty sure he says "light a fire BY the spark" I don't quite get what he says at the end, the "luminescent while we'll be glowing in the dark" bit... is that it?

Same here... i was walking through a park on my way to work after having downloaded the album and when this song came on, i just had to sit down and i started crying a little bit, it's just so beautiful :)

It's such a good album that it even makes 'Paradise' sound decent :)

I think MX/Hurts Like Heaven, Charlie Brown, Us Against The World and Don't Let It Break Your Heart deserve to be considered among their best work :) this is such a good album as a whole but it has some really great individual songs also

After having listened to it non-stop since it leaked, i have to say i think it's their best album yet, it doesn't have the best songs on it (although it has some really GREAT ones like HLH, Charlie Brown, UATW, DLIBYH, heck even Princess of China is a really good song) but as a whole, i definitely think it's their best album by a mile, totally worth the excruciating wait :)

Totally agree. We just have to wait and listen to the whole album and then we can judge the songs and whether they work or not, they band have said that this is basically a concept album and i think this song really works keeping that in mind as well as Major Minus, which Chris explained as the song that introduces the bad guy of the story.

I've been a regular on this forum for 6 years now and this is the most complaining i've ever seen... yes, i've heard Charlie Brown like 10,000 times now but it's a live version, i can't wait to hear the studio version, actually the studio version of a song we've already heard that i'm looking forward to the most is 'Us Against The World', it's such a beautiful song and i can't wait to hear how it sounds on the record (i hope Eno didn't ruin it) but anyway, stop complaining and just enjoy this time, it's an exciting time for us coldplayers :)

I'm not feeling like that at all, actually i'm quite excited to hear the studio version of UATW and the rest of the songs that we haven't heard yet, i may be a little too optimistic but i think they're going to pull off that Rihanna duet and i still think it's going to be a great album :)

It happened to me, at first i was like meeehhh but now i like it, i still hope it's a 'Speed Of Sound' kind of thing and the rest of the album is way better than this...
