U2
Native Son, I know this may be a fruitless and difficult request... But you seem to have a LOT of U2 shows. Do you happen to have any from the recent tour? I'm looking for May 28th, Boston... I found it on Torrent, but it won't download for me and messes up my computer when I try. I can't find it anywhere else. If you do happen to have it in mp3 form, I would appreciate it SO SO SO SO SO much! :D I have every other show I went to, except that one. If you don't, that's ok (it was sooo long ago). I'll keep lookin'...

Show us your art!
I went to NYC back in December with my new digital camera that I got for Christmas. I absolutely worship photography, but I don't think I have much talent, myself... Well, I took a few pictures that I kind of liked. Then I went into PSP and did a lot of weird things to them to enhance them, make them different. Here they are: Greenwich Village Passing Ground Zero. Each time I go by there I can't get the image of the gravestones across the street from it out of my head. It's too ironic for comfort, so I took this picture and tried to portray that irony with the lense. Don't know if it worked, though. The hole in New York City... Probably my least favorite, but I thought the effect on the tree was interesting... Comments and criticisms are VERY appreciated. I'm going back to NYC this week for 3 days and I'm planning on doing more photography then. It's a great setting for pictures. ;) I'd like to know what works and what doesn't. Or to know if I'm wasting my time and really suck...

If you could have been born anywhere.
I couldn't imagine being anything other than American. I might not be fond of a lot of political actions this country takes. But I've got to say I really do love it here. I wish I was born in Seattle though... That way I could be closer to Kelli (putainfromage on here). I hate being on the other side of the country!!!!

British soldiers attacked defenceless Iraqi teenagers
And dare I ask how you know that? Don't tell me that it's because the government says they haven't. Hate to break it to ya, but they don't always tell the whole truth.... We can say that civilian deaths were mistakes, but it's proven that many tactics that we used in our assault on Iraq killed hundreds to thousands of innocent Iraqis. " Coalition forces generally tried to avoid killing Iraqis who weren’t taking part in combat. But the deaths of hundreds of civilians still could have been prevented. " says Kenneth Roth. From http://hrw.org/english/docs/2003/12/12/iraq6582.htm To quote the article, "The use of cluster munitions in populated areas caused more civilian casualties than any other factor in the coalition´s conduct of major military operations in March and April, Human Rights Watch said. U.S. and British forces used almost 13,000 cluster munitions, containing nearly 2 million submunitions, that killed or wounded more than 1,000 civilians. Meanwhile, 50 strikes on top Iraqi leaders failed to kill any of the intended targets, but instead killed dozens of civilians, the Human Rights Watch report revealed. The U.S. “decapitation” strategy relied on intercepts of senior Iraqi leaders´ satellite phone calls along with corroborating intelligence that proved inadequate. As a result, the U.S. military could only locate targets within a 100-meter radius – clearly inadequate precision in civilian neighborhoods. “Coalition forces generally tried to avoid killing Iraqis who weren´t taking part in combat,” said Kenneth Roth, executive director of Human Rights Watch. “But the deaths of hundreds of civilians still could have been prevented.” " You can't overlook these things. Don't give me that bullshit that they haven't done incredibly horrible things. I'm sick of people making an argument and not having anything to back it up. I've done my research, now I suggest you do yours. Some things you might be interested in (but probably not): http://www.iraqbodycount.net/ http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article10907.htm

British soldiers attacked defenceless Iraqi teenagers
I have a problem with ALL violence. Like I said in my earlier, ignored comment, not all people who are anti-war are sympathizers with terrorists. I don't sympathize with soldiers who beat people either. I don't sympathize with anyone who shoots a gun for a living, sorry. I'm not going to go out and burn a flag to try and get on TV. Those anti-war protesters you see are a minority. Just like the extreme right wing conservatives who walk around singing "Every Sperm Is Sacred". The majority of Americans don't feel that way, or so I see in my day to day life. But I'm getting off on a tangent. Of course there are people at fault who we are fighting, geniunely bad people. But there are innocents too. No one can deny that the military has done INCREDIBLY horrible things. There's a car bomb once a day in Iraq. We hear about that because it's a terrorist killing innocents. But you know, there could be an innocent bystander shot by mistake (meaning a misunderstanding) by our (or any allies) milititary each day, and that doesn't make the news. It takes something crazy and severe to happen for us to get worked up about it. It takes a video to be taken while some Iraqis are brutally beaten. It takes a torture scandal. To go off on another tangent that's fairly unrelated to this topic, I was just thinking about how it takes something DRASTIC to happen for us to notice. It's so pathetic and sad to me. The easiest example I can come up with is the recent situation with the VP. Cheney's always been a secretive guy, never really gave a shit about the American public's welfare and relished in our lack of knowledge. But it takes the guy to shoot someone then not talk about it for 4 (5?) days for us to get worked up about it. The Middle East has always been a hot spot for terrorism. It takes 3,000 people to die for us to care this much. Aaaaaaaaaaand I'm done. I don't know where I was going with that, but I feel better getting it off my chest.

U2
Ok, this is really random. But I personally think it's hysterical. (yeah, I know I'm posting in here a lot. I've been listening to U2 for 2 hours now and I'm friggin' bored... So this is the only place on the forum I feel like spamming, at the moment) I found these pictures on random sites a long time ago, all taken in Boston on October 4th. There seems to be a recurring theme in these pictures... (Red and black finger nails holding out the black and white picture? That's my hand!) lmfao that picture coincides with the animation in my sig! I'm a paparazzi! Did you catch the theme? It's kind of weird finding little bits and pieces of myself in pictures with the guys.... I'm still trying to take it all in... It's so surreal, even 4 months later! And finally, one picture I took from my December 4th show in Boston (when Edge jumped up on the amp behind Larry, that was my favorite part of the whole concert!!!) :D So cool...

U2
I don't think he would be Bono without bringing his campaign work into the show. From everything of his that I've read (which is probably too much to be considered healthy), I don't consider his work for Africa a political... thing. Caring for the world shouldn't be considered political, or politically motivated. Of course, it's just what I think. I wouldn't love U2 as much as I do if they weren't so outspoken for the things that they stand for. When Bono talks about the One Campaign, and relief for Africa, at the concerts I feel emotionally drawn in. Naturally, the music does that, but if Bono didn't add these moments to the shows then I just feel like it'd be another good show from a good band. Good music, good moments. Nothing special, I'll get the DVD. I notice a lot of people complaining about this. But no one complained when Bono mentioned Music Rising (or did Edge? I can't remember exactly, I know Bono talked about it and dedicated a song to the relief workers down in Mississippi and New Orleans at my Hartford concert). It's ok to talk about caring about that, but it's not ok to talk about caring for Africa? Or caring about the world uniting and "coexist"ing? Sorry, I get really....... worked up. ;) lmfao Bono'll never keep all the different elements of his life apart. His campaigning, politics and music are all mixed up in him, they MAKE him. U2 fans should be used to it by now, the guy's a pretentious bastard. I love him for it. Plus, I like him because he's the one person in the world who can talk MORE than ME!

U2
Aw jeez, way too many! Just send me whatever videos are YOUR favorite and I'm sure I'll love them ;) Honestly, when it comes to U2 I'm not picky at all  :) Thanks again!! I agree that 'One' should be played... once (lmfao that's such an annoyingly amusing pun). I love the song a lot, but what makes it so powerful to me in concert is the whole speech Bono gives leading into it, with the cell phones turned on and the lights going down. Amazing, amazing moment. Random, but: I'm having mad crazy 'Unforgettable Fire' love. What an incredible album, seriously... gah! lmfao, I just thought of something that I think you people might appreciate. Or think I'm insane, either way. Well, on Valentine's Day I got to thinking about what eras of U2 I listen to the most often. And I realized that all I tend to listen to lately is Achtung Baby and HTDAAB. And that's about it. To make matters worse, it'd become something of just a habit to put it on. The specialness was wearing away. I guess I had gone through the whole U2 in the 90s/00s phase then just got stuck in it. And it was getting kind of boring. So I've decided to "break up" with Achtung Baby for a whole month. I won't allow myself to listen to anything but the 80s music... :/ This is so friggin' difficult, honestly. Right now all I want to do is dance around to 'Mysterious Ways' and I can't. *screams* I feel like I'm giving up smoking or something!!! I NEED A U2 NICOTINE PATCH!!!!!!!

U2
Are they back to doing that for these legs? (I haven't read any setlists because it makes me sad and wish I was there   ) I saw them in May last year and they played Vertigo twice. It's not much of a closer and I've got to say, that was slightly disapointing. I'm glad that wasn't my last show... I'm not a big fan of playing twice of ANYTHING in one show. No matter who it is. Pull out a b-side or something and fill in the space that way! :wink3:

Just because you're anti-war doesn't mean your stance on a political issue isn't justified. And it doesn't mean you're a terrorist, or a sympathizer WITH terrorists. Thanks. :dozey:

What should I buy?
Oh my gawd... I love The Refugee... I like to dance around my room late at night to that shit  I think the song that 'War' could go without is actually Two Hearts Beat As One... I have NO idea why I'm not fond of that song, I don't have any reason to be. I just find myself skipping it the most. Yet that's still a rare occurance ;)

US Vice President Cheney shoots a man.. by accident.
so................ Usually when you SHOOT someone you don't act arrogant and indifferent about it. If it was an accident (which it WAS), then why be so secretive about the whole thing? Come out and just shut the friggin' media up once and for all. Give them what they want and that's the end of it. I can't understand why this administration must be so closed mouthed and disinformative to the American public. Would it kill them to just tell us something, for once? Honestly. :dozey:
