I love this thread! :D Wow. What a year. And the fact that I'm seeing them again THIS year (and possibly more than once!!!!!!!!!!!) is just bliss! Hmmm. What things stood out to me... 1)Rediscovering the band. I sort of had a falling out with them back in '04 because I honestly thought they had broken up, I kept waiting for the album!! :cry: Those were dark days indeed. Then they announced X&Y's release date and I fell in love all over again!! 2) August 6th! My first time ever seeing them (4 years in the making, sheesh), and boy did it live up to my expectations. Oh damn, I've got to go right now to my piano lessons. I didn't get to finish! Well, I'll add more later! Yes, we should. I've never listened to ATYCLB too too much until this past week. That song makes me cry, now... Hell yeah Kelli. Hell yeah. Alright. Here's the scenario. You're a great musician. You play the bass extremely well. You join a band. You get a record contract. There's a good chance that you could REALLY go somewhere with this, and maybe even break out of the tight indie circuit and get into the mainstream. You're enrolled in a college as an engineering major (and getting accepted with that kind of major can't be easy). What do you do? I'd kick college in the balls and do what I love, do what I think I might have a future in. Who the hell cares what Guy did in his past, or what he's doing now? I surely don't. Frankly, if we ever recieved the knowledge through some sort of reliable leak that the guys, or one of the guys, does anything hard like coke or heroine, I'd send an email to Debs immediately and just try to tell her to pass the information on that the fans aren't "disapointed" and " :angry: " about it, but we just want to help and see them not hurt themselves. But they DON'T do that shit. They're not Led Zeppelin, for christ's sake. Chris is married and has a daughter, and another on the way. With Gwyn around, I really don't think he could ever have the opportunity to get hardcore into drugs. Guy's married as well and could be thinking of starting a family. Same with Will. And PERHAPS the same with Jonny. If they did it in the past, well, ok? Whoop de doo. If doing that made them write Yellow, then I've got no issues. :lol: But they're all growed up now! And I'm sure it's not an addiction sort of thing. I don't know. This just really bothers me, this obsessive need to collect all information on the guys.
