I'm not a pacifist. You know me better than that. But Bush's 2nd Term has been a train wreck. I can openly admit that, because it's sort of hard to deny. His first term was strong, though. Hence his re-election.

Bush, while not the greatest President, is certainly not the worst. Shall I point your attention to Buchanan? Or Andrew Johnson? Harrison? And while we're on the topic of starting pointless wars... there was an article in a local paper awhile back about Presidents who made worse war decisions than Bush. Truman finished World War II... but then started the Korea conflict. North Korea had never attacked the United States. There was approximately 55,000 lives lost in that war. JFK started Vietnam. Vietnam never attacked us. He was then assassinated, and Johnson took over. Johnson made matters in Vietnam worse, and by the time the war ended there were approximately 58,000 lives lost. President Bill Clinton, a pretty popular guy on these boards, went to Bosnia without UN consent. Bosnia never attacked us, either. But when offered Osama bin Laden's head on a silver platter THREE TIMES by Sudan... he declined. Osama has attacked us multiple times. Bush is certainly not the worst President in history.

Clinton was an actual good President. I didn't agree with every decision he made, but Clinton's 2nd Term >>>> Bush's 2nd Term. Both first terms are debatable.
