you mean like in mexico its lady death - like in english languages they use the saying lady luck for having good luck etc. the grim reaper(brings death)- i love how in mexican culture death can be seen as humourous and fiestas are celebrated on the dia de los muertos.

oh know what you mean when i first went to uni i was amazed at how many people had visited other countries or gone backpacking----i was jealous at their good fortune! i'm definitly saving up and gona backpack, oi burningmonk, add me to the list :D its always good to learn another language - i know two but technically im cheating cause came to OZ from another country. i grew up in a multicultural area so always tried to at least learn to say hello in my friends languages.

Our prime minister wants some draconian laws passed they say in the face of terrorism but it seems like they want to erod the publics rights. they wanted a shoot to kill law passed, a law that will let police arrest you without charge if they believe your a danger/terrorist and the funny thing is you can't tell anyone you've been jailed or put under house arrest, if one parent knows that their child has been arrested they can't tell their partner, oh and slagging the primeminister or saying something bad about the government will lable you as someone suspicious (comedy may get less funny)! oh and they want to pass this before christmas (YIPEE :dozey: ) and they are debating the implementation of these laws during the Melbourne Cup (horse racing) which is a public holiday and is a time when people will be preoccupied partying away. oh boy sori for ratteling away, just really worried and angry.
