LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Thanks, but I think I made some edits to that since then. I was using the final tour date as the 'end of era' date. However, with the GS era, this doesn't work since the last tour was over, but at the time we were still waiting for another single or two. On top of that, that research was done to narrow down the LP7 release date. However, with news about festivals and whatnot, I think the focus should be on if/when Coldplay come back with their first LP7 era concert a la MX. What I mean to say is I predict the LP7 era will open like in the MX era, where Coldplay opened the era with festivals (iirc?). I think this would be the first important date as this is probably where we will all first hear the first songs of the new era. And then after a summer of tour festivals, then we will see the album.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
There are multiple rumours. But the earliest release date I heard is this November. Highly unlikely I know, probably just wishful thinking, but it has been proposed.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
What about what they reported is news to anyone? 'Coldplay is recording LP7', well no shit. LP6/GS era is all but over so clearly they would be working on LP7.... ...and #confirmed ? How about #proveit, y'know, before you have to be asked by someone to prove it?

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Just one last word regarding the next superbowl, which it due to be played on Feb 1st according to a quick wiki search. Not sure how much Coldplaying is into American Football and the NFL or sports in general, but the NFL is currently going through a very touchy time right now with assault charges and domestic violence this and battery that. I'm not big on the NFL myself, but I do know enough about it being a general sports fan. And I understand that the NFL is arguably the biggest of the Big 4 sports in NA, and with that comes a lot of power. But given the current climate of the NFL, asking artists to pay to play the halftime show may be the wrong play here. Anyways, I understand the connection being made between the Superbowl and LP7, but we have another thread for the halftime show already.

Setlist for the LP7 tour
While I agree going from ETIAW to IMP would work, I think going from Chris talking to ETIAW would.

I think half of that is him just trying to be funny, and the other is that maybe he doesn't wanna be too harsh on the relatively younger artists.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
^ this one I think now you'll see that using it to launch into the next era would be really awkward. "Hey world, we have a new album coming out, but before that, heres a dvd concert from the previous era". It doesn't really sound to me like something they'd do. I reckon they would use it as something to say goodbye to the GS era with before they kinda go away for an extended period (for studio work and whatnot). With all the singles/MVs from the GS era now released, I'd say perhaps a Christmas gig and this DVD/Blu ray release to check off the list before LP7 should even be legitimately rumoured to be released. On yet another topic tangent, Chris has doing some work with the boys of Kings of Leon on multiple occasions now, showing up in a gig yesterday and at least one other time previously. I've only recently just started listening to KoL but personally, it'd be great/cool if Coldplay could grab more influence from them as opposed to the radio-poppiness everyone groans at. Just my $0.02.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I randomly remembered this news a few days ago and just now bothered to share it. We still haven't gotten any news on the Ghost Story TV Concert Special. From that, I say LP7 just got a little bit further away....

Help with finding song played by Coldplay
It's funny, I actually commented on that video years ago and couldn't get an answer about what the song either. It was recorded in Toronto at the Air Canada Centre; my 'home arena' and all! Beautiful nonetheless, but a damn shame the user had to press 'stop record'. Now that I revisited this video, we could perhaps try and find the exact tour date, find the thread in Coldplay Live sub, and ask someone there perhaps that may also have been at the soundcheck? It was the 30th/31st of July in 2008 http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/threads/44959-30-Jul-08-Toronto-Tickets-Preview-Meetups-Review-Photos-originally-29-30-Oct http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/threads/48245-31-Jul-08-Air-Canada-Centre-Toronto-Tickets-Preview-Meetups-Review-Photos Edit: Oh fuck, I actually went to one of these concerts (not the soundcheck tho)

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
sooo, why are some of us so sure that EDM will make an appearance in LP7? Just because they happen to do it on the previous album, for 1 friggin song? The only way I see ppl arguing for this is if they make the connection between LP7 reportedly being poppier and EDM being a poppier genre. But there are things besides EDM that they can delve into that could still make it poppy. Iunno, i'm just not as sold on that opinion as others, and i'm not as 'fear mongering' either lol

No hidden track? And shouldn't there be a track with the same name as the album title? You gotta make your fake tracklist better than that....

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Hmm, I wouldn't say 'the completion of a story' is the same as saying the next album being 'celebratory' though. Now that it turns out what he actually said was that it was a completion of a story, I remember reading it in the news article you just posted and him likening it to Harry Potter and what not. But what I got from that interview and others like it is that LP7 will be bigger (like MX) and not smaller (like GS). All of which makes sense in my theory that LP7 will be massive for the sake of the record companies which yielded to Chris and Co do their less flashy/commercial GS tour. In other words, LP7 will be massive to make up for not touring GS so extensively. Again though, I don't think this necessarily means it will be 'celebratory' as you say. And concluding so after reading this article is a little bit of a stretch in my opinion. It could very well be celebratory, with it being the last album in the 7-part series, but i'm not seeing the connection from what I've read so far/ I think the surest thing we can conclude from hints so far is that LP7 will defo be big and not small. Ppl are suggesting MX 2.0, but perhaps thats accurate only in terms of how grand the era was and not necessarily in terms of how it will sound. We don't know if they'll stick with the electric drum pad. We don't know whether a collab (with Riri or anyone) is solid or if it was just an exercise/jam sess. We don't know if EDM will make a return or if it was one time thing. And simply saying LP7 will be big alone does not help in answering these questions.

Known Bugs / Issues thread
Using Google Chrome on Windows Vista and using default forum skin (if that matters) and this is my issue. I click mark forums as read, and it jumps me back to the home page like always. However, there are still subforums which are marked as unread. However, when I go to view new posts, it does indeed show nothing (edit: this is the case only half the time. there are still instances where it seems forums werent marked as unread). And even after I double click the unread subforum icons on the home page, once I click view unread posts, there are posts there. Hopefully what I said was understandable.... Edit: it appears the forum skin/theme actually may play a role in it. I switch to the dark theme and things appear to work as they should, but the strange part is every time I click a new link, it switches back to the default theme causing me to have to select the dark theme every single time. Edit 2: now there are issues with logging in the forum kicking me out (as described in the other thread basically), where the workaround is to F5. Good thing this is happening during Coldplay's 'off-season' and not during a rush of LP7 or anything. Edit 3: now its not kicking out my log in and not switching themes, but the original problem of things not being marked as unread persists. all seems very spotty.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
2 things: -could you tell me where/when he said this? -what does a celebratory album mean exactly? My interpretation is that it will have songs that fit the theme of every album. What I mean to say is, there will be a song on LP7 that would fit in LP1, and another for LP2, so on and so forth. Is this what he meant? 'Cause Coldplay are known more as an album band than a singles band and I'm curious as to how that would work; it might hinder the flow of the album

Chris Martin and Jennifer Lawrence
I'm hardly drooling over it. And I don't wanna get into ethics here, but I neither hacked the phone nor shared the link/pictures so if i'm an ass for accessing the pictures, then I guess I am an ass. If you want pics of Chris however, I might know I guy....(not srs btw).
