  1. I havn't uploaded any stuff...but I have myspace! http://www.myspace.com/hoppsichordsmusic The only one I sung was The Drugs Dont Work, and the mixing on that is terrible. The other two are worth a listen though.
  2. Yeh...I was looking at buying a highway1 tele. They seem to be a good trade off between the Mex's and the american's.
  3. I for goodness sake, it doesnt matter what colour it is. Id play a bright flourescent green guitar with little pink hearts on it if it played well and made a good sound.
  4. meh...I dissagree with the multi fx comment. They are not a waste of money. If you buy a CHEAP one, it means you can actually hear the different effects. Ultimately of course, if you ever buy a single pedal, ALWAYS try it out. dont just buy it online (unless its a rare one you found on ebay etc)
  5. Wish You Were Here, by Pink Floyd. Its a very easy song, but beautiful to sing. It also gets you learning your pentatonics when you do the solo.
  6. Yhe...the background synth is just the chords, as is the piano for most of it. Chris plays the little riff and stuff.
  7. lol....thats still ALOT cheaper than Sibelius though. Theres also Finale Allegro, for about £150. Thats more aimed at amatuer-proffesionals. I use it. Its does sheet music, and tab, which is useful.
  8. ah...one day, when I get loads of money, I shall buy lots of tele thinlines.
  9. Depends what music you're playing... I use wah alot, but then again im into funk. You should try out different distortion pedals, and see what you like. Delay (or to plebs, "echo") is also pretty useful aswell. I also use things like pitch bend (like the digitech whammy...thats a cool pedal!), and an acoustic simulator. As for brands, I pretty much always use Boss. Theyre solidly built, and have very high quality circuitry. Line6 are also very good (if a little expensive), as are Marshall (try the Bluesbreaker distortion) But to start out with id recomend just buying a cheap multi FX pedal, so you can find out what you like. Try the Behringer X-Vamp ( http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=3846464 )
  10. there is a free (but not as good) version of printmusic. Its called Finale Notepad. Google it, or go to http://www.finalemusic.com I would just suggest that you splash out £40 and buy Printmusic though. Its very good.
  11. A good 'ol fashioned stratocaster would be good to start off with. Try the squire standard series, or the Yamaha Pacificas (which are always overlooked, depite the fact theyre really good). Both of them are below the £200 mark. the strat is the most versatile kind of guitar...I use it to play everything from hard rock to jazz! It gives you something to find your voice on.
  12. He can write a good tune, and I soppose he has (by some stretch of the imagination) got a good voice. But hes just so...bland, and middle of the road. Its depressing.
  13. Thinking About You-Radiohead
  14. Radiohead- street spirit (fade out) Its amazing live, and, dare i say it, I think its better than coldplay *gasp*
  15. I would reccomend starting with a strat of some kind. Theyre much more versatile, and theyre fine for coldplay (th Thinline tele Jonny uses is quite similar to a strat in many ways). A standard tele will have a lot more twang to it, while a strat is really smooth.
  16. lol...imagine if you'de got a call. "Hello, this is Chris Martin"
  17. Im going to the earls court gig on the 16th (tomorrow!!!) and would just like to know, roughly when will it end? based on weds and thurs.
  18. all pretty ok...apart from abba...switch it with pink floyd!
  19. I can (kinda) play paranoid android on guitar. Now that is one badass song!
  20. nice strat. Ive always prefered teles though. I recently traded in my old strat for a Squire Tele Custom II. Check em out. Theyre amazin. I didnt think much of p90 pickups befeore...but now. :D
  21. these [random games] are things that I dont understand
  22. heres a picture me standing next to a picture of...errr...me! and a pic of me wearin 2 pairs of glasses...cool or what :D
  23. lol "the metallic monsters are seen chasing girls round spaceships..." uou can just imagine the benny hill theme being appropriate there. lol :D
  24. *sigh* What I wouldnt give for one of them :/
  25. It has np bridge. Thats what makes a tele a tele. The strat bridge makes a different sound, even on the same pickup setup.
