  1. Mi mero mero. Gracias por expresar tus opiniones positivas aqui. Thank you for expressing your positive feelings here. Most threads are complaints and I can see a truly jovial person in you and I wish that while at work you enjoy every moment...even the bad ones because even bad things can change you for the very best. Also something I notice in you (which I have come to enjoy in the times I have known you ) is your gratitude for the good things in your life. This is a true treausure in a person. So, to add to your happy days/daze ... Thank you for being the person that you have shown us, Alfredo. Que lo mejor te llegue a ti, chico. ;)
  2. I can see where you are going with the above said, Nik.... I mean, yes, it would be a super effort to make it more difficult for terrorist to come in thought US borders. But what is being discussed here is making it so that illegal Mexican migrants be made to be treated as criminals here in the US....which is whack because all Americans are technically immigrants (what? the immigration stops when it comes to having more Mexicans?) anyway. But what you have said does make an ounce of sense, it's just tough to touch, because they are kinda two different views/issues. The problem really lies in the fact that the US border system makes is so very difficult for people to fix their documentation and acutally become legal in this country. I have relatives who are sent running in circles by official authorities and have waits up to years and years just so that they can get their documentions in order. WHy? Because the system has been made far too complex to surpass. And besides that, expensive. And they don't have the money because that is their reason for coming to the US to begin with! IT's this big long and pointless cycle that is extremely difficult to go through. I can sometimes even feel (by seeing some relatives struggle with it personally) why they would compelled to cross those deserts and go through the hardships. The longer they are there in Mexico, the more money the use up in the wait ... and the less they have and this can be frustrating. This is just to explain the reasoning of why/how people come to even want to come here. As for this law that is trying to come through...I hope others can pray that it gets resolved in a manner that makes everyone satisfied. That in the least, if the law IS passed, people have more of a chance to come here legally, and the process is made not so difficult. With all the news going around at my school in Texas...one of the states prone to be more affected by the new law in process, seeing as it is "attatched" to the Mexican border...., I heard some offensive comments being made today and the ignorance is a flash of light to my mind. They were comparing these innocent people to animals and it made me sick...really, ignorance makes me sick. There are many people here against this and they make any excuse to keep these "wetbacks" away from here. Comments like "THey are stealing our jobs" come up often right now. When in reality, the jobs are ripe for the picking, but their willingness to do those jobs that they consider menial is nonexistance. If all the illegal immigrants left RIGHT now, I know that those "stolen" jobs would be left empty. These immigrants are willing to do the jobs that Americans just don't seem to see fit for themeselves. I am willing to say that the customs of work here are not the same as they are in latin american countries. Hard, and even/especially physically demanding labor is common there and not so much here. I wish that was not so but it is. THere are underground movements going on here in Texas with the KKK (which is radically abundant when circumstances like these come up here) ... I don't even want to think about the things they are capable of! But i can feel somethings not so peaceful are looking up here. what a world, no?

  7. Hah! That 'Girl' song by Beck has just about as dark as they can get lyrics in it! But when you hear the song, you could just bop along and smile...if you don't actually listen to the song  It would be "mean" to tell someone what the song talks about ... and it is completely up to a person to find out what a song really means..either they wanna know, or they don't ..you know how it is? "I saw her, yeah I saw her with her black tongue tied Round the roses Fist pounding on a vending machine Toy diamond ring stuck on her finger With a noose she can hang from the sun And put it out with her dark sunglasses Walking crooked down the beach She spits on the sand where their bones are bleaching And I know I'm gonna steal her eye She doesn't even know what's wrong And I know I'm gonna make her die Take her where her soul belongs And I know I'm gonna steal her eye Nothing that I wouldn't try ..." But I guess I am just the type of person that would rather know what it really meant, it gives you a better idea, and it makes you love it all the more...holding that knowledge about while you sing the song.
  8. I remeber that band! They had this one song that I liked for it's cutesy lyrics...what was it called...? There is....
  9. ohhhh Andrea....true disparage there. you're sick
  10. Really what these people are doing is technically illegal. It has been MADE illegal by the US government. When really it should not be. Most of the Mexican immigrants really are wroking hard here, sending money mostly to family members who desperatly need it. They cross over these borders, sometimes paying high fees for people to transport them here. Or take an even more dangerous form of crossing....traveling through sweltering deserts, to escape a land where very few make enough for a living (speaking from the priveledge of knowing those in Mexico who work damn hard there and still make too little). They take their bodies and go the distance, endure the seperation from family, and face a country that treats them like criminals. THEY JUST WANNA WORK! If the pain they endure just to get here isn't enough to make people see that what they want is really worth it, then I think this place has gone downhill and is trully blind to what really matters in this life. In this issue, I feel a deep pain for those who suffers these earthly injustices.

  24. Some people say that you cannot love an inanimate object. This is explained my saying that love can only be two sided. But I can confidently say that music...music can be loved. It moves me at times (certain songs) Like when I listen to it late at night, a really good song can touch me and I think that that is one of the greatest feelings in a not so great world. It may sound a bit whack, but at times, sounds and music really ...okay.... I think that things that count on this earth are things that change my emotions or make me...feel. So if music can and does this...it can be loved and you can be "in love" with music. Hope this made sense
