Lay off the insults. As I've already said, what's the point in stirring shit in a thread where most people quite like this band. Unless you have something useful to say then move your fingers away from the keyboard.

I fooking love the fact that it's so un-Keane and that it's "out there" and different.

I finished the Deathly Hallows this morning, having read most of yesterday all the way through to 5am, when I decided I needed a rest, just as Harry meets Dumbledore somewhere between life and death. I got up this morning and finally finished it. I starting reading the books sometime in June I think, and within a couple of months it's all over - very melodramatic I know, but in that short space of time I've grown so close to the characters and cared for them and wanted everything to be alright for them. My Mum bought the Philosopher's Stone for me about 7 years ago, but I was put off by the witches and wizards and thought it was far too childish for me, at the ripe old age of 13. My Mum read it and told me how good it was and said I should read it, but I never did. I wish I'd have read it while my Mum was alive because I would have been able to thank her for buying that book for me, I mean really thank for, for introducing me to that world and those characters.

Actually, Dejan, Tim is married and Rich and Tom have girlfriends ;) And what's the need in slagging off a band in that band's actual appreciation thread when pretty much everyone in this thread likes the band and enjoys discussing their music? Silly, silly boy.

Self-indulgent? I don't get that, isn't all music self-indulgent... Each to their own though.

Did someone say there was an intevriew with them on Radio 1? Was it on Jo Whiley's show?

OMG!!! What a tune!!!!! Tom's voice sounds so real and live and not over-produced like it has done sometimes in the past. From the very first WOOOO I was laughing and smiling uncontrollably at how amazing this, makes me feel so happy, omg it f**king kicks ass :D

Yeah the YPG-625 and the DGX-620 are the same :) It's really good. The piano sound is amazing. The drum sounds are really good too, so if I ever record a song and want some decent drum sounds and can record those over the top too. I like the 80s style brass-synth voices too - very cool.

It's not that electronic is it? The beat is just Will's snare and bass drum and some communal hand clapping.

Oh come on, do you seriously think Tim, Tom and Rich (3 grown up, intelligent guys) sat down and actually said "let's copy Coldplay" - as if! The Perfect Symmetry thing - even if they did get inspiration from Low, then so what - Coldplay don't have exclusive ownership of the words 'perfect' and symmetry' do they. And going back to The Barn - do you actually think they thought, "Hey, Coldplay have got this studio called the Bakery, erm, I was thinking we get our own place and gave it a name that begins with B too - nobody will ever notice".

I'm not into cars at all and have no idea what they are talking about half the time, but I've recently become addicted to Top Gear! So funny and entertaining, I love it. I loved the race across Japan episode, especially where the train May and Hammond are on splits in two, and they initially can't figure out why May is saying the train IS moving but Hammond is convinced the train ISN'T moving :P

Yeah that's true lol. And they looked happy enough "ooohing" at the end, especially Guy :P

I like the 2nd video a lot, but I'm a bit disappointed it's all Chris considering they're supposed to be trying to get away from the COLDPLAY = CHRIS MARTIN thing. Jonny, Guy and Will could at least have been his servants or carried the painting for him. Still, I like it a lot and that last scene is great.

Yeah it's definitely worth buying the Live DVD! Do it!

Or the "What do you think of..." videos! It's been nice to actually see and hear Tim, Tom and Rich during the process, as opposed to Coldplay going quiet and seemingly disappearing for a couple of years.
