Have you ever been stuck in the elevator?
No, thank goodness. If I was, I would start having horrible nightmare-ish visions of that scene in the movie Speed, when the elevator drops. :stunned:

I use Paint Shop Pro v.6 (its an old out of date version of PSP, but I'm too cheap to buy the new stuff!) It didn't take much time to make....I just resized the file, added a gradient color layer and text layer....then messed around with the blending options till I found something I liked. To make an avi like that, you can't use the standard Windows Paint program....you'd need something a little more fancy....something equivalent to Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro....but it really wasn't hard to do. So glad you like it! It suits ya. :nice: They are fun to do, so if you ever need another, just holler. :D

The Eagles - Take it Easy- CCC [Overview]: Suggest ideas here
Hello Donna and welcome to the CCC!! Thank you very much for your lengthy input - it is much appreciated!! I know about the U2 fan charity organization, and I'm very impressed with all that you have done. Attempting to start up a club of this nature takes dedication and passion from all members, but it also requires good ideas! Your experiences of what has worked and not worked is very valuable to us. True, that it is best not to stretch ourselves thin - wise advise. The Child Sponsorship project is definitely going to be our main focus, but we also want to work on promoting awareness of causes that otherwise go unnoticed by most people (such as fair trade). Your concerns about what would happen if we dont raise enough for one donation month are valid. Fortunately it doesn't take much to carry it forward each month, and I think the other CCC moderators and I are more than willing to pitch in where we fall short. However, I do hope that this wont be the case. A “reserve” stash is a good idea. What do you recommend as auction items? Do you have any experience with ebay's missionfish (http://www.missionfish.org) program? Also, how did you promote the U2 charity club? Thanks for your interest, and a warm welcome once again! :nice: Sofy, check out The 1.36 Campaign thead and Zali's thread for the latest news on that project. :nice:- sloganizer
«Chris Martin is what the world was waiting for.» :nice: «There's a bit of Nadia in all of us.» «Halleluja, it's a Nadia.» :laugh3: «The Nadia man.» [i'm not a man! :bigcry:] «Nadia - Yabba Dabba Duh!» [what the - ?]- London
^ Yeah, all good suggestions. As for nightlife, from what I remember, Leicester Square is a fun place to be at. Any Londoners want to verify this? :P- London
Leire! How funny, I'll be in London next week too....and then for the next 4 weeks after that as well. :P My grandmother's there, who I'll be staying with for a month. I  London. I'm a museum nut, so I always make museum-hopping a priority on my agenda. :P Hey, maybe I'll run into you! Stranger things have happened! :laugh4:- [2006 Coldplaying World Of Music World Cup] Group D
