  1. Ah Kara, thanks for the video! "I Want You To Stay" was the first song I've heard of Maximo Park! It was on Top Of The Pops lol! :D
  2. Lalala, I just booked my flights to London! :nice:
  3. Wow, a lot of surprises last evening... Germany's friendly match against Georgia (the former Soviet Republic not the American state ;)) in Rostock was quite boring but we played very well. Schweinsteiger's goal was absolutely astonishing! :nice: Podolski's red card was all right. Sometimes he's just a stupid dork! But luckily a few minutes later a Georgian player also saw the red card. Wednesday match against Slovakia will be very tough... they won 5:1 in Wales! :shocked2:
  4. Wow, amazing pictures Kara, I'm impressed! How did you meet them? Was it before the concert or afterwards? I never heard of a Maximo Park song called "Russian Literature". Is it a B-side?
  5. My summer was amazing! :) Between May and the end of July we had very nice weather periods in Germany and that's mostly all I need. In June I went to the Hurricane Festival together with a few of my friends and we had a great time. The weather was nice as well except the most violent thunderstorm I've ever seen in my life when Muse should have performed. Then of course my nation was the host of the World Cup and I will never forget these days! First I drove with my family to Berlin to watch Germany-Ecuador in the Olympic stadium of Berlin and two weeks later I spontaneously did the same journey again and I celebrated the victory over Portugal in front of the Brandenburg Gate. :nice: That was an unbelievable experience and I still can't get these pictures out of my mind. Unfortunately it was mostly raining all the time in August, but one month later we had a nice gossamer here.
  6. Great picture Kara! 3 Coldplaying members on one image... it doesn't happen that often! ;)
  7. Was ist passiert Sarah?
  8. Glückwunsch auch von mir Ingmar! :nice:
  9. Does anyone who comes from Germany, Austria or Switzerland know a new music channel called "Würfelzucker"? Yesterday, after reading the following article I watched it online and I'm surprised! They played some good stuff like Phoenix, Keane or Mando Diao. http://www.tvmatrix.de/?newsid=7345 Here's the official homepage, including some interviews of Keane and Razorlight. http://www.wuerfelzucker.tv/
  10. *Bump* Can anyone tell me why so many amazing bands are coming from Skandinavia?! What would we do without our lovely Sweden?! :nice: I really like Eskobar. After the sensational debut album, followed by two disappointing records, their new album with the creative name "Eskobar" ;) is out now and it's absolutely fantastic! I especially like "The Art Of Letting Go". One of my favourite records at the moment. http://www.myspace.com/eskobarmusic
  11. The big Theme Park was on the right of this picture above! ;) It was an absolutely great place... shopping center, Cinemaxx, Arena, casino, dolphin show, a big Irish pub and... 6 parking garages for free. :stunned::)
  12. I was also at Saturn and I'm still pissed that I left my digi-cam in the car. I heard that they weren't allowed to take into the Arena so I only have a few cheap pictures taken by my mobile phone. :( An artificial lake in the front and the König-Pilsener Arena behind it! :nice: On the left, there is this amazing shopping center.
  13. Haha! Hm I was also in Oberhausen and I still know exactly what I've done on October 28th. :nice: It was a very sunny and warm, first I was shopping in Germany's biggest shopping center in Oberhausen and later on I went to the Arena. It was the best concert I've evern been! But sadly we didn't know each other that we were at the same concert. I registered a few days later here. Yeah, I like Juli's new song. I remember when they once were playing at Galeria Kaufhof in Bremen lol.
  14. Why? Nice signature by the way... it's from Juli's new song, isn't it? ;)
  15. ... reminds me of a Kraftwerk-song... ;)
  16. Haha, I would have never thought there will be a thread of my favourite football team in this forum. But it's great! :nice: Did you watch Werder-Gladbach? Bremen did a very good job and we climbed up to 3. This Bundesliga season is so crazy. The're only 6 points difference between the 1st and the 18th team and 4 teams have 10 points at the top. I hope it will be an exciting season. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xO1ANESpJY Werder Bremen - Borussia Mönchengladbach (3:0); Arena summary
  17. The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army or... the inofficial Italian sound on Munich's Oktoberfest!
  18. Hehe, we have nearly the same letters + ß, ä,ö and ü. You're right and sometimes my company is carrying Kimberly Clark's merchandises to Germany. ;) Well, maybe the reason why you think too many English people are lazy is that English is much easier to learn than f. e. French. And you're automatically speaking the most important language of the world :) So it's unnecessary. But I still don't understand why Britains have the possibility to learn German in schools. :D I'm of now, damn time difference... :( Bye!
  19. You're right... I'm impressed! :) Ich möchte = I would like You don't have the "ö" on your keyboard, right? Hm, sometimes at work there're a few calls from Great Britain (also one from Brighton :nice: Do you know Kimberly Clark? That's the name of the company.) so I have to talk in English. But true, it's definitely much easier to read other languages! :) That's nice that you will speak a bit slower. I will appreciate it. ;) Hey Mark! I'm sorry I have to go to bed! Good night! :)
  20. "Cheerleading practic"?! :dozey: Ok, I understand! Hehe, than maybe your family drove through my region. I'm exactly living between the Netherlands and Denmark. Both borders aren't far away. :) Yeah, I'm so excited! It's the first time I will meet some people who are living in another country. You don't have to speak German! I'm the one who have to prove my language skills in English. I really hope that I will understand you all. Sometimes it's so difficult to understand British people. American English is much easier to understand. Well if we have some communication problems, I will speak to Ophélie in French, so she's able to translate it in English. :D But I guess (and hope :P) it's not necessary. Why do you hate orange juice? ;)
  21. Hehe, do you like any of the guys who are playing music in your flat or are they getting on your nerves? ;) Yeah, it's great to drive in another country. There are no traffic jams at the border so you really don't realize that you're driving into another country if they weren't any signs. But I don't like driving on Dutch motorways. You are not allowed to drive as fast as you can like in Germany. They're also many many speed controls there. But altogether I like the Netherlands and I understand nearly everything of the Dutch language. By the way, my surname is Dutch as well. ;) What are the odds! :) Steph just texted you? Wow, it's great that you will meet another Coldplaying member. :) I would really like to meet you all in London.
  22. Oh really? I would like to heart it! Does it sound good in your opinion? Do they only cover any songs? It's strange... Coldplay started to play music in the same way. Maybe in a few years you might say... "well, I lived in the same building as the band did!" :P I had two great holidays. Yesterday I drove with my car into the Netherlands, together with some friends. We had so much fun in Groningen and also entered a Coffee Shop lol. But I didn't take any drugs! I already felt sick after smelling the smoke in that shop. Back in Germany we went to a pub and played darts and poker. I got seriously drunk. :( Today there is national holiday (Germany's reunification in 1990) and I had a terrible hangover this morning. In the afternoon I helped two mates who are moving into another house. What about you? Still excited about Maximo Park?
  23. Ah Kara! Nice to see you! :nice: Hope you're fine! :) Ah I'm so excited, on Thursday I'm booking my flight to London.
  24. Larry replied to fifi's topic in The World Of Music
Oh a thread about dEUS! :nice: I really like a few songs of them when I saw one of their concerts once on TV. They're also nominated for Best Dutch and Belgian Act (together with Anouk and Kane). It will be a difficult choice. ;)
  25. Good evening! :)
