I figured that out in '99, but thanks for bringing me into the loop. As I had stated, I asked to pay extra to ship items here, but they refused.

Remember, it's EMI making $$$ from the releases. Bands primarily make payday touring. It will not be cheap (aka $30 us). An LTD vinyl is $35+. Factor in the other crap and the "limited" label? Anyone thinking this'll be cheap is nuts.

I'd guess higher, $85 us-ish?

Back when X&Y was released, there was a sh!tload of merchandise available for sale everywhere, but North America. They refused to special order the special items to the US or Canada (I asked), so I bought the stuff I wanted at inflated prices from EU sellers. I'm excited to see this change!

I believe you, but my Toshiba is nearing 11 years and my panasonic just closed 5 without any problems. My work bought several no-names from WalMart about three years ago, maybe two still work? I know the brand product duplication happens, but I still think you get what you pay for.

Maybe a bad stoke of luck? My dad still has my brothers first iPod 20GB (the original white), and a co-worker has my 7yr old 80GB. Have had my 160GB for 3yrs now. Use it every day at work, and I work 12-hr shifts. Not a fan of their computers (nice, but too much $$$ for what you get), but love the iPod and iPhone devices.

It'll probably be "limited" like the 7" singles box set. 50000 made or something gigantic like that. I'd guess $75 US retail. So SO anxious for the pre-order to start.

Why not look at the classic? Nano is a waste if your main priority is music storage. You'll be maxed out in no time. The classic is pretty thin and light weight, holds 160GB, so you can grow into it. (ive got 17000 songs on mine, with plenty of room to spare). Simple to transport; I've been using mine for years. Nano gives you 8GB for $149 us or 16GB us for $179. That's a lot for such little storage.

Take one step at a time. Get yout studying done for the ACTs SATs' etc.. After that's been done, take a breather. Gather the strongest list of your academic goals and expectations of meeting and priorityize . Which is most important, which is least? Unless immediate scholarships and grants can provide immediate revief, obtaining an Associates a degree is MUCH Cheaper than sprinting for the full four year school. It also give you those two years to really solidify the field or work desired all while getting the grub work out of the way. Staying close and obtaining a two-year' may offer more opportunities to enter programs pr to. Meet contacts more familiar with characteristics your preferred school wants. Good luck

If it means anything, I buy a LOT from amazon.ca, amazon.UK and amazon.de! They usually have better prices than a lot of ebayers and have better shipping rates. I haven't shipped to Italy in years, but I dont remember the rate being terribly different from other EU countries? I'd have gotten a second and sent it to you, but chances are Amazon gets better post rates. :-/ If you think of it, (for you doritji or axe) hit me up for any upcoming US releases you guys want. I get free shipping from Amazon to my house. Then it'd just be post USPS to you. (usually around $10 US for first class postage, 7-10 day, but sometimes cheaper, depends on the weight). Not sure how that compares with Amazon.com, but never hesitate to ask if I can get and send it cheaper for you three. @doritji, I will totally get you the scan of the US ETIAW and any serial numbers from that vinyl. I'm on shift through Friday morning, so will try to get those to you that evening. :-)

You've got it mostly right. US has the FBI piracy logo, then the Capitol logo, then the EMI logo across the back cover (above the tiny writing and UPC code). Then, at the very end, before the UPC number, it says "Printed in the USA." Just got full Internet back up (yay!). So I can scan it later for you, if you still need it.:-)

I LOVE going alone. I did all of Lolla solo. I knew several people that attended the weekend, so flitted about on occasion, but generally prefer to go solo and meet new folks.

Depends on how close you want to be. There will be a crowd building throughout the day, but you should have a decent view, no matter the time you head over. I'm not walking over till about 7. I have the app, says 8:30, site says 8:15? I'd go with the site time.
