I thought I would stop in to say that I am personally a big fan of 2732! He very generously mailed me some of his extra butterfly confetti from the Hartford show, and I just got it today. It's looking great on my wall along with the ticket stub from that show, along with some other Coldplay paraphenalia I have collected over the years. :D Thanks Nick (and JD, for making a thread where I could post this!) :)

August 23rd... it's too close for comfort. :\ The end of summer vacation really snuck up on me this year.

Yes, I heard both LIT and DAAHF!!! Both times I jumped out of my chair and got absurdly excited. The people I was watching with probably got really annoyed with me, but WHATEV. ;) Now I keep thinking I heard other Coldplay music in the background of other Olympic things, but it always ends up being that Chinese interlude music and I am disappointed.

I actually read somewhere once that J Tim (yes I use that name for him... don't make fun :P) was like really inspired by Chris Martin and aspired to be like him. But, I mean, who wouldn't? :laugh3:

It's funny... just a difference of 4 or 5 years from some of you guys (I'm 19, almost 20) and we watched some completely different shows. Like, by the time Catdog or Spongebob got popular my friends and I were all too old to really get into those shows. Most of the people my age watched Ren & Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life... hmmm, what other classics? Oh, All That (not the Amanda Show :P)! And Alex Mack, Are you Afraid of the Dark, Clarissa Explains It All, and Doug! I'm sure there are more that I can't remember. But it's interesting that there's such a gap in the shows we all watched, even though we're really not that far apart in age when you think about it. However, we did have Rugrats in common. What a great show! :D

I know I am. :( That's okay though, every time I think about how amazing last night was I feel happier and grateful that I was there at all! :)

How about the end of Death and All His Friends? The chorus with all of them at once?? Aaaah I died! That was incredible!

Everything was brilliant... haha. I loved every single thing they played! I think my personal favorite of the night was Politik. I was sooo thrilled they played it, because they didn't at MSG back in June, and I really missed it. It just doesn't feel like a Coldplay show without jumping and screaming along to Politik. ;)

Yeah, that's why I decided to just keep my camera in my bag. I just focused completely on Coldplay and nothing else. :)

I'm interested in some of that Hartford confetti (after all, it was the best stop on the tour yet ;)) I'll PM you the details. :D

I think you could run down the floor after the show ends and grab some. I know someone who did that last night, and now I am kicking myself for not thinking of doing the same!

I love how I said I was going to try and hold back from buying too much stuff at the show last night, but then ended up spending $50 on merch. I guess that's not really too surprising though. :-P That program is just so gorgeous!

Ummm.... now I hate to sound dumb and technologically challenged, but how do I add people to the list? Hahaha. I'm trying to figure it out, but I'm not having much luck. Anyone? :P OOooh wait never mind.... I just edit my post... like I'm doing now. Disregard that ^ Hahahaha. :-D

Ian mentioned this on the Hartford thread, and it sounds like a really cool idea! Those of us (myself) included who had seats higher up unfortunately missed out on collecting some of the awesome butterfly confetti that gets shot out during Lovers in Japan. Coldplayers with lower level or floor seats should collect as much confetti as they can during shows and send a couple pieces off to some of their fellow Coldplayers who either sat too far away to get any confetti or couldn't make it to a show at all! You could include pictures or a little review or your impression of the show as well. It would be really exciting to get a little piece of the show during another tour stop! We could exchange addresses through PMs, for those who are interested. Hey! I saw that VW Bus. I thought it was cool! Anyway, I am still totally thrilled about last night. I feel like every time I see them they just get better and better. I wasn't even really disappointed by the lack of an encore, because the show itself was pretty long and was just really great anyway. I was on my feet and jumping and dancing and screaming during the entire show. The people next to me were sitting and I'm sure they thought I was crazy but I really couldn't care less. :D It was legitimately one of the best (if not the best) nights of my life... it ranks up there with the other times I've seen them anyway! We sat in the parking garage for like 45 minutes afterwards because for some reason all the cars were completely stopped and not moving at all, but even that was fun because people had their windows down and were playing music and everyone in the garage was singing along. My only complaint about the night is that I was just a little to high up to get any butterfly confetti! :( I really wanted to run down to the floor and grab some after the show was over, but it would have been too crazy to go in the opposite direction of everyone trying to leave. So I'm super jealous of you guys who said you got tons. Anyone want to mail me some? Hahaha. But of course, overall it was just an incredible night! Now all I can think about is the next time I'll be able to see them!

I think they do it during the show... which means if you're standing up and dancing and singing and otherwise just really into it they would see you and pick you to go down to the better seats. And mqrun45, that really sucks. I know how awful I would feel if that happened to me. I hope you get another chance to see them with such great seats if they come back around on this tour!

As for buying merch, I am going to try really hard to limit myself. I just bought a car so I am somewhat broke at the moment, so I am going to try and only get a program and a keychain (for my new car keys, of course). And that will still be expensive. Hahaha. Whatever. Two things I would gladly go completely broke for are a car and COLDPLAY. Can you guys tell how incoherent I am right now? HFIDSUYFHSJDKHFIS see you guys tonight!!!!
