Viva La Vida music videos! (Videos in first post)
Did anyone else tear up at the end of the second video when the rest of the boys showed up? Because I did and I am DAMN PROUD!!! :D I was just like... ohh, all his friends showed up and now he's happy. It made me very happy. Leave it to a silly Coldplay video to bring tears to my eyes. Hahahaha.

02-Aug-08: Hartford - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos [originally 03-Jul]
Ahhh!!!!!!!! I am just SO excited. If anyone could recommend a good (cheap) dinner spot, let me know. Even if it's like an Applebee's or whatever, that's fine. We should be getting into Hartford around 5, so I guess we'll just have to kill time until the show starts. I am sort of broke, so I am going to try and cool it with buying all the awesome stuff they sell, but I really really really want a program! Also a t-shirt, a keychain, a bag, etc. Hahaha. I am going to be even more broke after this weekend, if that's even possible. But AAAAHHHHH I CANNOT WAITTTTT!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

How is your summer? =D
An '01 Mercury Sable... it took pretty much every last penny I had, but it's totally worth it! It's fancy too- it's got leather seats and a moonroof (clearly necessities for a 19 year old college student). And yes Coldplay in Hartford on Saturday! I am SO excited. Also, today I "married" one of my 5 year old campers. So things have been turning around, I'd say. :)

The Weather Thread..
It rained incredibly hard here yesterday... just rain and thunder and lightning and hail (which we rarely get here) all day. It was a serious storm yesterday. I didn't want to leave my house. But then today was actually pretty nice: it was sunny but not too hot. Weather is kind of weird.

What made you happy today?
One of my 5-year-old campers looked at me today, sighed, and said, "Camp is all about walking." It was so cute and funny. Also one of my campers "proposed" to me, and so I spent the rest of the day calling him "Husband." 5-year-olds are so much fun.

Lime Tostitos! Mmm... I could singlehandedly eat an entire bag of those in under an hour without any regrets. :D

How is your summer? =D
My summer was going pretty well up until recently. Because of all the great Coldplay stuff going on in the last couple of months and the fact that I have a job I really enjoy (I work at a camp with a group of 5-year-old boys and I absolutely love them), things were going pretty well. Unfortunately, one of my very close friends passed away this past weekend after a really long and difficult struggle with cancer. I'm still trying to sort it all out for myself, and it just seems strange that something so sad could happen when everything else is going so well. She was only 23, and was working toward becoming a teacher. I know she would have been a great one. In fact, she was the one who inspire me to pursue the field of education myself. She was absolutely the most selfless person I have ever know and with the strongest spirit. I am trying my hardest to concentrate on all the great things she did in her life how she has impacted everyone she ever met. Oops. Sorry to dump all that on you guys, though I know from experience that the people on this forum are generally very sincere and compassionate. But that's how my summer's been- rough. I've been trying to get my mind off of the bad stuff, mostly. I really love working with my 5-year-olds and I am finally, getting a car, so those are definitely pluses. :D I hope everyone else's summer has been going slightly better than mine. :)

Your favourite/funniest TV/Movie quotes!
Any love for the US version of the Office? "I think one of the greatest things about modern America is the computerization of medical records. As a volunteer sheriff I can look up anyone's psychiatric records or surgical histories. Yeast infections...there are a huge number of yeast infections in this county. Probably because we're downriver from that old bread factory..." - Dwight K. Schrute. :P That said, I do also like the UK version. But I'm definitely more partial to the US one because of the beautiful John Krasinski. ;)

lol I keep trying to bump it. Though I must admit, it still hasn't really dawned on me that it's only a little over a week away.

Waiting around after a show.
When I saw them at Nassau Coliseum in 2005, my friend and I went outside to where their car might leave immediately after the show, and we saw several big black cars with dark windows come out from that driveway under the venue and speed away very soon after the show was over. It was so soon that they must have literally left the stage and immediately got into those cars. It definitely didn't seem like they were sticking around, unfortunately.

27-Oct-08: East Rutherford, NJ (2nd night)- Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Review/Photos
I wish I didn't go to school so far away... :(. Otherwise I would definitely be there- that's why I'm going to the Hartford show this summer: I'll still be home and it's relatively close. Oh well, I guess I shouldn't complain, because I have seen them quite a few times. :D I hope everyone has an amazing time!

How old are coldplay listeners?
Hmm... I thought at 19 I would be one of the younger ones, but it seems like that's not the case. It's weird to think I started listening to Coldplay when I was 14 though, because that seems so young! But I guess not, because a lot of you around here started around that age too. Oh well. I guess it just means that Coldplay is so good it's ageless. :D
